So I ran into Dancing Goats FolkFest artist Jose Luis Rodriguez Tapia today at Florabee Coffee located in the Westside Market in Greenville, SC. Jose serves up great drinks and paints amazing art on the spot between customers. We got to talking and he shared that there was a gentleman at Dancing Goats FolkFest that bought two of his paintings. Since Dancing Goats on April 11, the same man has commissioned 6 more paintings and now wants Jose to paint a wall mural. All this because Jose showed his awesome talent to the world at Dancing Goats FolkFest. If you are a self taught, folk, or outsider artist - put April 11, 2027 on your calendar. Dancing Goats will be here before you know it!

Howard Finster's Paradise Garden has announced the amazing lineup for this years Finster Fest. Everybody in the Folk Art world knows what a true honor it is be accepted to show art at Finster Fest! Looking through the list, we were blown away at how many of our fellow Dancing Goats FolkFest artists from this year will be at Finster Fest. They include Chicken Fried Folk Art (Chris Allison), Justin Atkin, Charlie Dingler, Steven Felmet, Sam Granger, Chris “Chub” Hubbard, Dayo Art (Dayo Johnson), Will Linn, Ken Pease, Kip Ramey, and Mavis Stevens! Come out and support these wonderful artists in a special place!

The Old GOAT of Honea Path, SC - Terry “Chickenman “ Campbell was at The Fiddle and Bow Music Hall this morning along with Mayor Jimmy Smith, President of Empower Honea Path Jodie Fleming, Town Councilwoman Sheila Caldwell, Sam Gilmer, and Justin Atkin presenting a check to Anderson Free Clinic Executive Director Tammie Collins. This was part of the Annual Walk With The Docs event. We are proud of the fact that our stable of “Old Goats” raised $6,000 for The Honea Path Free Clinic in just 10 days! The old goats in the running were Millard DeVore, Ken Parker, Jimmy McCall, Richard Ellison and of course Chickenman!
The Free Clinic provides free healthcare to those without any medical insurance and who are low income. It feels a huge gap in our community and we are prod to support it!

Now that the dust has settled in Honea Path, the old Dancing Goats crew (Georgia) wants to take our hats off, congratulate, and salute the folks who put on such a fantastic shindig last weekend. What a day! Justin, Jodi, - shoot, the whole town - I love you guys. My heart was broken over the demise of Dancing Goats FolkFest here in Georgia. You, the artists, and other vendors, made everything right. Thank you, one and all.

Saturday was full of great memories. I witnessed so many acts of goodness and kindness and love! It was a blessing to be a part of it. One thing that really touched me is a gift from a young lady from Honea Path. She entered our youth art show hosted by Honea Path Arts Center and did a great job. Her name is Ashton and she is an amazing artist. She made this goat painting especially for me!!! Come see it hanging in the art gallery at The Fiddle and Bow Music Hall! We don’t have to worry about the future of art in Honea Path!

Yesterday, thousands of people from all walks of life converged on the little town of Honea Path,SC. The result of bringing all of these people together was an amazing and beautiful thing. We are so humbled by all the comments and messages that have flooded us the last 24 hours! We want to say a special thank you to everyone involved in making this an unforgettable day in the life of our community. Can’t wait to see the future of Dancing Goats FolkFest!
