The flowers have done their job, now they wither and fall off leaving behind the beginnings of blueberries! It will take about a month to turn from this into right ripe berries, put it on your calendar!

Without the pollinators doing their work, the flowers you see here would not turn into blueberries. I use no pesticides, no herbicides, no chemicals of any kind. am I certified organic? Absolutely not, because that wouldn’t mean a damn thing, it would just give the government a little more money. Look into it! I’m getting a bit tired of the feel good labels, the nonsense buzz words, yup blueberries are gluten free! And yes I cut the grass in May, that’s why kids can pick barefoot in July. I hope people start understanding that if you have a chemical lawn with no dandelions right now, you might as well not buy blueberries from me. I thought for a long time I shouldn’t post my opinions on here, but if you show up at the farm, you’re gonna meet me because I’m the only one that works there. Thank you!

Starting off as little twigs with a few leaves, they will hopefully bring spring blooms for generations

Great to see so many people at the plant swap today! Thank you all for stopping by even though it was a little wet. Glad I moved the tractor out to make room for us. It’s always a learning experience for me and today was no different. The enter and parking signs worked great,,,,,, however my lack of exit signage made for some unexpected off road adventures for some folks 🤣 but everyone made it out! Great to see folks making connections, meeting neighbors, and not being scared of the rain, thanks again!
