It’s the summer of 1776, and the future of a nation hangs in the balance.
The Tony Award-winning 1776, featuring a book by Peter Stone and music and lyrics by Sherman Edwards, follows John Adams of Massachusetts, Benjamin Franklin of Pennsylvania, and Thomas Jefferson of Virginia as they work to persuade the Second Continental Congress to vote for independence from Great Britain and sign the Declaration of Independence.
Filled with wit, heart, political intrigue, and unforgettable music, 1776 brings one of the most pivotal moments in American history to life with sharp humor and a legendary score.
This production features an all-female cast, reimagining this familiar story through a fresh theatrical lens. With women taking on every role, the production highlights the universal themes of leadership, sacrifice, debate, and the pursuit of liberty while showcasing the talent and versatility of its performers.
