This summer and last fall were AMAZING for birds 👍
Variety from Canaries, Parakeets and Cockatiels to Amazons, Greys, Conures and Cockatoos to Toucans to Rosellas to Turacos 👍

Small mammals and some reptiles now aren't as common or popular as they were a few years ago...

working on those 👍
still looking for additional locations.. (some coming)

Few months until we're back In Paris, TN for the Exotic pet Expo Paris TN . Time to save 😉

An update on the Exotic Pet Expos website:

We've made the decision to shut down the Market, Auction, and Groups/Discussion areas of our site.

The Expo info and hobby resources (care guides, genetics calculators, and etc..) — will remain exactly where they are. Those pages have consistently seen traffic, over 20,000 visits a month, so makes sense to keep them as they're being used and hopefully are useful to people. They can still be found at:

https://www.exoticpetexpos.com/community/links
(editing will clean them up but it's a lot of editing, will take a little while)

The Community features (groups, marketplace, and auctions) on the other hand were very different, averaging very few visits and even less use a month. The options to show prices, seek animals, rate vendors, vendors to presell, have a searchable database of vendors seemed like they'd be viable and useful unfortunately they weren't. We gave it more than six months to grow, and it just didn't work out the way we hoped. Given the time and cost involved in maintaining it, we felt it was the right call to step back and focus our time and energy elsewhere.

Overall Florence exotic pet expo was a success 👍

Seen a few things not always common 👍 or not common lately.
Also seen some Lewis County visitors 👋

For Birds I'd say the Blue headed mini macaw, the gold conure and Plum headed parakeets filled that spot.

For reptiles I'd say the Dead leaf lizards, Green chameleons and red tail boa morphs filled that spot.

For mammals I'd say Patagonian cavy(s) , ring tail lemur and sugar gliders filled that spot. Along with the monkeys out for photo's 👍

Glad we seen a LOT of birds especially medium and smaller birds 👍 seemed like it took forever to get many birds in the region but lately they're here

Those asking about Florence this weekend

Good number of birds expected 👍
Some not seen often in the area like
Blue headed macaws
Plumb head parakeets
possibly prince of Wales parakeets (last min vendor decision)
amazons
others not uncommon like canaries, finches, cockatiels

snake fans :
NO, no retics, burms, rocks, anacondas - etc.. ALL lacey act large constrictors are banned in Alabama

expecting some cornsnakes, western hognose , milks , kings , some redtail boas.
