Hillsdale 250: Stars, Stripes & Celebrations

We're putting the final touches on event planning and preparing for gate open tomorrow at 4 p.m.

Please note: we will be restricting an area along the fenceline with Broad Street in the Midway area for our volunteers working to make this event happen and their immediate families.

This area will be a resting place for our volunteers where they can cool down, hydrate and take a break without the risk of losing their "spot" (or chair!) when actively engaged in a detail working to ensure a smooth weekend of celebrations for all of us!

We love it when a community comes together!

Gary Easterling, the VA&R Director for The American Legion, Department of Michigan and Dean Wetzel from Congressman Tim Walberg's office will be at the Veterans Courtesy Area (located at the carnival tent) to answer questions our veterans may have about their rights and benefits.

Gossage Eye Institute and Heffernan's Soft Water have generously provided for drinks and light snacks for our veterans and their immediate families.

Join your fellow veterans, enjoy a prime, shaded spot and connect with others who have served.

The city of Hillsdale, Michigan, is hosting “Hillsdale 250: Stars, Stripes & Celebration” on July 4th, 2026, to commemorate America’s 250th birthday. This two-day festival will feature a parade, classic cars, a community time capsule, food, fireworks and two special steam-powered train rides.
