Classic cinema and live music come together in this one-of-a-kind performance by acclaimed cellist and composer Gideon Freudmann CelloBop at the Walters on Friday, 11/6.

Enjoy a full screening of Buster Keaton's 1924 film, "Sherlock Jr.," accompanied with an original soundtrack played live by Freudmann. Using cello, looping, and real-time digital effects, he’ll transform this silent film masterpiece into an exciting modern experience!

Save the date for a Día de Mu***os Celebration at the Walters on Thursday, October 29 from 6 to 8 pm.

The evening starts with a special talk by celebrated author Valentina Ortiz, teaching through story and song how the ancient Aztec people celebrated Death with dance, food, and festivals. Then, Huehca Omeyocan will present a traditional dance and drumming showcase.

Walters Gallery staff members are getting the next exhibition ready for the Hillsboro Art Walk gallery opening on Tuesday, October 6 from 5 to 8 pm!

The exhibit, "'tell ___ ‘hi’ from me," features artworks by 27 local and self-taught, neurodivergent artists. This diverse collection of contemporary 2D and 3D works amplify the voices of artists whose perspectives have long been marginalized.

Stop by for the gallery opening and enjoy light refreshments, live music, plus a Mixed Media Collage Workshop with Davis Wohlford. The workshop is free, but registration is required.
