I am again heartbroken to report that we have lost another member of my family AND the Attic Playhouse family. My dear father, Thomas Loughlin, (wonderful supporter, box office, tech crew and professional audience member for the Attic Playhouse) passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2017. He especially loved getting to be a part of the Attic family and seeing all of the regular happy patrons, as well as hanging out with our great casts and crews over the years.

Friends and family are welcome to attend the wake on Friday, 2/17 (5-9pm) and funeral on Saturday, 2/18 (10am) at Kelley and Spalding Funeral Home in Highland Park.

I am heartbroken to report that my dear mother, Loretta Loughlin, (wonderful supporter, greeter and usher for the Attic Playhouse) passed away this morning. She especially loved getting to be a part of the Attic family and seeing all of the regular happy patrons, as well as hanging out with our great casts and crews over the years.

Friends and family are welcome to attend the wake on Friday, 9/2 (5-9pm) and funeral on Saturday, 9/3 (10am) at Kelley and Spalding Funeral Home in Highland Park.

To all of the Attic Playhouse family that got a chance to work with Christine Koska.... I am so heartbroken and shocked to have just learned of a dear friends passing. Christine was my assistant director on many Attic Playhouse productions, and an overall wonderfully enthusiastic, talented and caring person - with the most contagious laugh ever! When we left the theatre space in Highwood, Christine remained in my life a a dear confidant and friend. I would probably not have been able to pull off the last few seasons at the theatre without her. She passed away unexpectedly on November 28th. I think it is only fitting that her family's donation request was to a charity close to her heart - (Come Bye Border Collie Rescue at P.O. Box 332 , Highland, IL 62249). I only feel sadness that such a true beacon of light is gone way too soon. She is truly missed...

Sorry it has been so long since we've posted anything. A lot of you have contacted us for an update. Our first year off culminated in Attic trying for some new venues that didn't pan out. This past year however, the delay was my own - as I recently gave birth to my son, Riley. Once things are a bit more 'under control', I will help the theatre resume looking for a space. We are sad to report that a member of our "Attic Playhouse family" - Max Rubin - has sadly passed away this week. We were fortunate to have worked with Max on our productions of "Chaim's Love Song", "Enter Laughing" and "Heaven Can Wait". Max was such a wonderfully warm and giving actor AND friend. His humor offstage will be remembered as much as the humor he brought to so many productions. We will miss you Max!
