TRI-C's Robotics Team are WORLD CHAMPIONS! On April 30, Tri-C’s Youth Technology Academy Team 120, "Cleveland's Team," competed against 640 teams in the First Robotics Stronghold Championship Competition in St. Louis. Participating teams were from the United States and the world, including Israel, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Australia, Turkey, Taiwan, China and the Czech Republic. The event had eight divisional competitions leading up to the championship game. Team 120, along with their alliance partners, competed in 18 matches to emerge victorious and become the Carver Divisional Champs. Then it was on to the Einstein Field and the world championship game. After defeating competitors in the quarter-finals and semi-finals, Team 120 and partners won a best of two out of three finals match-up to take home the win and the title of First Robotics World Champs.
