Two-day music festival honoring the life and legacy of jazz saxophone icon and High Point, NC native son John Coltrane featuring globally renowned jazz and blues recording artists.. Sponsored by the Friends of John Coltrane, a non-profit organization, the festival also features the presentation of new instruments to the winners of the student essay contest and a performances by the NC Coltrane All

Star Band made up of the best musicians in the Piedmont Triad. Students who are part of the NC Coltrane Jazz Workshop have the opportunity to perform the works of Coltrane and get the experience of playing before a live audience.

Submit a video or essay: Tell us what music and jazz mean to you, which instrument you want to win, and how it will help you reach your goals.

🎺 Winners will receive their instruments ON STAGE during the festival, joined by one of our world-class headliners, for professional advice and encouragement!
