Wow… just WOW! What an amazing Jamboree once again! You are all absolutely incredible and beautiful and make all the efforts to throw this party soooo worth it. THANK YOU!
I’ll admit, it was a little more stressful leading into Jamboree week this year with several significant changes to our Highbridge Hills and Jamboree teams, but once the crew arrived for setup, all that stress started washing away immediately. We’ve been doing this for 7 years and it gets smoother every year as all the returning staff, volunteers, attendees, vendors, etc know exactly what to do. We beat the 99 degree heat during set up. We kept the smoke at bay. We didn’t let a little passing storm throw us off our game. And it was nothing but smiles and good times all weekend long. There is no other experience in the world quite like the Jamboree and we are extremely grateful to be able to do this with all of you, year after year.
It takes a whole village of like minded and motivated people to execute at this level consistently, and every single person on the Hill this past weekend was a part of that. Thank you to everyone in attendance!
Thank you Randy Schukar for leading the charge with infrastructure and so much more and allowing me to ease my mind in so many ways. The team of set up volunteers Mark Lynch, Derek Radtke, James Carroll, Kymi and everyone else chipping in. And the tear down help from Shaun Halstead, Brooke, Tyler Jaeger and a whole bunch of others that made the exhausting final task of cleanup go quicker and smoother than any other year.
Thanks to Sarah Snippen for being my stabilizer all year round and during the event. She takes one of the more stressful roles, running gates crew, and absolutely crushes it. Thanks to Megan Poindexter and the rest of the gates volunteers this year!
A very special thanks to Lauren Butler and Alexander Berg of Dream Disc Golf Company for taking over running the entire disc golf side of the event so I never had to worry about a thing. Quite possibly the hardest working role handling everything and you guys KILLED it! So much gratitude for you!
Thank you to Adam Sanford and Lindsey Shoquist and the rest of the food crew for always cooking up the most delicious meals and feeding the bands, crew, and guests daily. It seemed flawless this year. And thanks to Bonny and Mike for adding the breakfast / lunch meals to our event this year!
Massive thanks to all the bands this year! Every single one was a true joy to hang out with and the sets that were performed were absolutely stellar! It's apparent how well the returning bands know the vibe and know what we are going for. I put my trust in them every year and they always deliver with something special. For the first time bands, literally every single one commented on the unique festival experience and vibe we've all got going on. They could feel the energy and it transpired to their performances on our stage. The bands we book are all tremendously talented but the vibe we all create helps them perform at their absolute highest level. Y'all should be proud of your contributions to their mind blowing performances.
Thank you to our amazing production crews who go above and beyond to make sure all the stages run incredibly smooth! Brandon Johnson and Dusty on the mainstage, Olaf Kirsten on the Monarch Stage, and Bo Messer on the Campfire Stage. Y'all work so dang hard and all the bands really notice and appreciate how top notch you all are!
Thank you to all of our generous sponsors who help keep the Jamboree going and growing! Alleviate Wellness and 3 Tall Pines Wisconsin for signing on as top sponsors and bringing the vibe with their vending all weekend. Platypus Discs, Sandy Point Resort & Disc Golf Ranch, Treasures of the Forest, Twisted Amanita Dyes and Beads, Gorilla Boy Sports, Dream Disc Golf Company, Electric chains, Cody Csepp Art & Design, Daring Bear Designs, Founders Brewing Co. Every one of these sponsors totally understands and fits perfectly with the vibe we've created on the Hill. Thank you all so much!
Thank you to our media crews Tony Mueller Phine Art Photography and Jeff Showers of Visual Eclipse Productions - Disc Golf for working your butts off all weekend long to try to capture the true essence of the event so our attendees don't have to sit behind their cameras all weekend to try to capture moments to remember when it's all over. Truly amazing work!
Thanks to Megan Johnson, Unknown Yogi, for leading our morning yoga sessions and setting up the chill space yurt and bringing the flow action this year.
Thank you to Jon Flynn and Kyra Flynn and crew for setting up the first aid tent and making sure everyone stays safe and healthy.
Thanks to Jay & Des Reading for running the putting clinic and for bringing a fun and appreciative spirit to the event!
Thanks to my entire Highbridge Hills Disc Golf Megaplex & Campground team Mike, Jason, Jeremy, Herb and everyone else, who made sure the grounds were in tip top shape and prepared for you all to have the best weekend experience possible. It was hard to explain to them just what the Jamboree was, but after experiencing it this year.... they definitely get it now.
Thanks to all the utility volunteers who were willing to give up their time throughout the event to lend a hand wherever possible. Luke Krupp, Nick Krupp, Andrea Stoiber, Hannah Elizabeth, Kelsey Halverson, Brett Poindexter, and so many others that were getting their hands dirty for the sake of the party.
Thanks to my parents, Marge and Randy for helping take care of little Jacki all weekend so we could focus on running a smooth event. And for all the help my dad provided in the weeks leading up to the event.
And finally, last but certainly not least.... THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOU AMAZING INDIVIDUALS! Your smiles and gratitude all weekend long are the fuel that keeps this train rolling. The added touches you all bring each year to add to the vibe, are truly appreciated. We could never pull this off for this long if you all weren't as respectful, supportive, and energetic as you are. And once again you not only brought the party, but you respected the property and left your campsites immaculate.
I am sure I forget some people, but just know that we are extremely appreciative of each and every individual that plays a part in this annual party. We are a family. Family looks out for each other. And when we're all on the same page, things run really smoothly.
Until next year.... keep being rad, spread the word to like minded friends, and let's come back next year... same time, same place.... and do it all over again!!
Mad Love to you all,
Andrew
