Join us and All Bodies on Bikes DFW on Saturday, May 9th, 2026 at 9:00am for two fun routes through the hills around Hico! Meet at the City of Hico’s Bosque River RV Park (500 Elm Street, Hico, TX 76457) by 8:30am and be ready to roll by 9:00am. route links will be posted on our IG Story and on our Facebook event page soon.

There is a gas station in Iredell (on both routes) and there will be an additional aid station at the start for the people who are doing the 60. Other than this aid station, this ride is self-supported. Bring plenty of water and nutrition!

If you are riding the 60, please save the main route and the “no river” route in case we deem the river crossing too high to safely cross.

All Bodies on Bikes will be leading the 30 mile route at about 10mph pace.

After your ride, please hang out in Hico and support the local shops and restaurants that support this community! This is an open course therefore please stop at every traffic intersection and obey all traffic signals and road laws. Ride Safe!

We are taking a little time off so that we can get back on our bikes and start attending all the great events that we have missed these last five years of hosting Gravel Locos. Share with us your favorite gravel events that we should attend in 2026.

Expect free training rides throughout 2025 and 2026 with the GL crew. I’m personally looking for several strong volunteers to help push me up the hills. I haven’t been on a bike in probably 3 years 🤦🏻.

We will do our best to keep everyone informed of GL activities throughout this short break and do so via this IG account. If you need to reach us sooner, feel free to DM me and I promise to respond sometime between riding my bike, playing drums and building cars. Be patient, I will eventually get back to you.

We look forward to seeing many of you at gravel races throughout the country, abroad, at our free Texas training rides and on race day in May of 2027.

Your Gravel Locos registration dollars continue to fund the City of Hico and its first responders. Thank you to everyone that has supported GL by registering year after year and as a result, helping to purchase much needed equipment for Hico’s first responders. You have funded the purchase of vehicles, the expansion of the fire station, fire suits and much more. We are excited about 2026 and with your help, providing Hico with brand new first responder radios, another UTV and much more. We couldn’t have done all that we have without you, the gravel locos y locas.

Hico’s very own and our “BossGirl” Ondrea Kerr of presented trophies to the last riders to finish the GL110’s 118 miles with 6,000 feet of elevation gain. The Texas heat was no match for the 2025 winner The Dutchman aboard his steed took the top spot in Hico, Texas. A well earned post race Texas experience followed including riding horses with and a tomahawk steak in the Fort Worth Stockyards. On to This is gravel racing Amigos y Amigas.
