Meet the Artist 👩🏼‍🎨: Sara Nelson 🎨
Nelson is a painter originally from New York and currently resides in Los Angeles.

In her recent body of work, she explores the deconstruction of floral imagery. 💐As an admirer of Abstract Expressionism, she navigates through organic form and richness of color to expose the delicate details that are often overlooked.

Nelson incites chaos and room for accident in her application of paint to celebrate and embrace the human touch over the preciousness of an image. ⭐️🥀

Meet the Artist: Juliana Riccardi 🎵🎤
💚 Juliana will be preforming tomorrow at the “August” art exhibition! 💚

Juliana Riccardi proudly walks in her ever-evolving journey as an artist and woman– one that's taken the New York City native to a place out West where she began turning heads and bending ears. With a voice and authenticity that reflects a mosaic of musical inspirations, the now Los Angeles local, has a deep connection to roots Americana and rock and roll, borrowing from blues and soul sounds. Riccardi has released her latest single, “Off The Map,” an acoustic anthem about the visceral desire to unplug from the bustle of daily life and go out and explore. “Off The Map” is the final chapter of her two-song series, The Nashville Sessions, whose first song received praise in Billboard Country News this March.

Riccardi will be performing at our “August” art exhibition curated by at Ivy House TOMORROW August 6th at 6pm! 🎶🕺🏽

Meet the Artist: 🎨🖌Mitchelito Orquiola
First off we want to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Mitchelito! 🎂🎈May he have many more trips around the sun filled with lots of art and creativity. He is a dear friend of the Ivy House team. 💚 We are forever grateful for all the time and support he has given us and are excited to celebrate with him this Sunday during our “August” exhibition! 🎉🎊

Orquiola was born in Cebu, Philippines. At an early age he migrated with the family to California, USA where Orquiola exposed himself and studied art, music, literature, languages, and theater. By his enthusiasm, creativity, and local connections, Orquiola is one of the driving forces behind the Mar Vista Art Walk, which supports the growth of the creative community and local artists. He does commission works, clothing art, and murals; and has exhibited his works with galleries like The Whole 9 Gallery, Gabba Gallery Trunk Gallery, Eco-LogicalART Gallery, and represented by Grand View Fine Art Studios. He considers his artworks as a representation and extension of his soul and as a way to express his opinions about different social issues. He is also the founder of House of Primer in Cebu, a platform that supports and welcomes all forms of art, a gallery curator, and a creative director of an Art Exchange.

Meet the Artist: Leebs 🎨🖌
Award-winning artist Lee Ann “Leebs” Goya is a third-generation Okinawan, born and raised in Los Angeles. Her joyful artwork, including the beloved Muchas ’n’ Poquitos characters, has been featured in the Los Angeles Times and the San Francisco Chronicle as well as on billboards, in galleries, and for dozens of solo, invitation-only, and group exhibitions. To spread love and friendship, Leebs wrote and illustrated several books, including “Gold,” “Healing,” and “This Book Is for Everyone.” Leebs has a BFA in visual communications from California State University, Long Beach.

Meet the Artist: Steven Lopez 🎨🖌
Born in Los Angeles, Lopez was heavily influenced by hip hop culture and graffiti art. He is a painter who has emerged from the graffiti subculture and academic influence. While attending the University of Oregon Lopez studied under the guidance of master sculptor, Dora Natella and design theorist, Leon Johnson. His work can be found within a myriad of corporate and private art collections both in the United States and abroad.
