Edelweiss Winery: Property History

The original structure was completed in 1854 by Michael Eberlin, a German immigrant from Pennsylvania. Just a few years later, after Michael’s passing in 1858, his widow Elizabeth married Jacob Colling- who would go on to shape the winery’s enduring legacy. By 1870, they had become some of the region’s most prominent vineyardists, producing more than 2,000 gallo

ns of wine annually while raising 8 children on the family’s 100-acre farm of vineyards, crops, and livestock. The surrounding acres were eventually portioned off, and the house remained in the family until the last two remaining sisters sold in the spring of 2023. At that point the house had not been lived in for decades and was in need of a major rehab. Clint and Beth Osler, a couple from Kansas City with strong roots in Hermann, jumped at the chance to breathe new life into this treasured landmark. By November 2024, Edelweiss Winery opened its doors once again, debuting seven wines- each thoughtfully named in honor of the remarkable women in their lives. With this, a fresh chapter begins for a timeless piece of Missouri’s wine heritage.

This Sunday, we’re raising a glass to all the incredible women who nurture, support, and love others—moms, grandmas, stepmoms, dog moms, cat moms, bonus moms, mentors, and every special woman who deserves to be celebrated.

Originally from Salem, Missouri, and raised in the heart of the Ozarks, Devon Sutterfield is a seasoned singer and acoustic performer with more than six years of live stage experience. You may recognize him from his appearance on Season 25 of *The Voice* Blind Auditions. Devon brings a crowd-pleasing mix of country favorites, Southern rock, blues, and modern hits—the perfect soundtrack for a beautiful afternoon in wine country.

The people who want a glass of wine and a deep breath after work instead of fighting the weekend crowds.

So we changed our Monday hours — we’re now open NOON to 7PM every Monday so you can actually enjoy Edelweiss too. 🍷

And because we’re making Mondays something to look forward to…

We’ve teamed up with Yoga Hermann for Happy Hour Yoga every Monday at 5:30PM! 🧘‍♀️🍷

Rain or shine — we’ve got a spot for it.

Come stretch, sip, unwind, and start your week with something that feels a little less chaotic and a lot more you.

Because not everyone can winery on the weekends… and now you don’t have to.

Mondays at Edelweiss = your new excuse to clock out and come decompress. 💛
