On my way to the ride site this afternoon so won't see any messages until this evening. Bring your rain gear. 50 mile riders remember your high visibility wear as morning may be foggy and the turtles may be returning close to dusk.

Important Travel Reminder: It will be vintage car race weekend in Watkins Glen. The village main streets close down at noon on Friday. If you come through after that, they put you on the side streets, and trust me, you do not want to bring some of these rigs through there!! There's also a LOT of traffic. Please follow the directions given on the ride details sheet. If you can't find yours, you can download it from the AERC calendar. There's also a link pinned to the top of this page.

Here's a picture of the trail through the national forest. They have mowed paths through the fields and cow pastures. The trails are dry. The town has even mowed both sides of the 1 paved road so there is a good grassy path to trot up to the National Forest! Hector Half Hundred entry is on the FB page and on AERC calendar. Sept 6th this year!

A HUGE thank you to all the riders, runners, horses, vets, scribes, timers, gate keepers, water crew, the fire dept. and all the other people that make this ride possible. The weather gods were with us even though it did get a bit hot. Hope to see you all again next year!

IMPORTANT: 16 miler riders and Equathon entries - Remember that you MUST attend the pre-ride meeting Friday night at 6:30 even if you are not bringing your horse until Saturday morning. There is no briefing on Saturday morning. Please pick up your registration packed before dinner as you will need your meal ticket(s). Dinner is at 6.
