A little personal news from me… ❤️

After many wonderful years of pouring my heart into this property and building SylvanDale into what it is today, I’ve made the decision to offer SylvanDale Wedding & Event Barn and my property on Round Lake School Road for sale.

This is a pretty unique post for me to write because many of you know me as a local real estate agent. When it came time to sell my own home and business property, though, I made the decision to step into the role of seller and have a colleague, Gary Nathan with Woodland Developments & Realty, handle the listing and marketing for me.

SylvanDale has been such a meaningful part of my life. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of watching countless people celebrate weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, fundraisers and so many other special moments here. I’ve put countless hours into the gardens, grounds and buildings, and I’m incredibly proud of what this property has become. But I feel like the time is right to turn the page and give someone else the opportunity to create their own vision and write the next chapter of this very special place.

The property encompasses 10.49 beautiful acres, including the home, historic late-1800s event barn, shop and bridal preparation space, garage and office, extensive gardens and landscaping, parking and event infrastructure — along with so much character, history and opportunity.

One of the things I hope people understand is that the next owner doesn't necessarily have to do exactly what I've done. There is an established foundation here, but there are so many possibilities for what this property could become — an event venue, a business, a retreat or gathering space, a private estate, or something entirely new.
