Throwback Thursday to 8 years ago, the first time at Dorflinger Suydam Wildlife Sanctuary on September 15, 2018. An extremely emotional day, as that was Brian Rutherford's birthday. Like a Rock brotherhood of Bob Carmody, Bob McHugh, Todd Stephens and Joe Gombita, Joe Adams and others on stage. A day that truly started the engine for the Fall Music Festival team. LIKE A ROCK

We are super proud of these two NEPA Young Musicians Ike Burleigh and Kori Roche who were just voted and won a summer long event @ Annie's Ruff Cut in Fosterdale New York. The winning duo of Kori and Ike came out on top in the open division against all ages and amazing talent. The Fall Music Festival at Dorflinger extends wholehearted congratulations as Kori and Ike continue to shine their light each and every time they perform. Perhaps the proud mom's Allecia or Jen can post some videos.

While two weeks have past since the amazing 10th annual Fall Music Festival, we just wanted to share with you some old pictures of the Fall Music Festival at Dorflinger most important commodity....... it's TOTALLY VOLUNTEER group. What we see here is the hard work always accompanied by a smile, a laugh and the constant reminder of FOREVER FRIENDSHIP. We do it for a Community we love dearly and are unfortunately reminded that tomorrow is never a given. Thank you all again for the success of the Fall Music Festival and we can't wait to see you for our 11th annual event to be held on September 11, 2027. It's Spotlight Saturday and we wish to shine the light on two fabulous, caring organizations, Dyberry Day Camp and HRC. For the first time ever, the Fall Music Festival at Dorflinger invited Dyberry Day Camp and HRC families to join us at our 10th annual Fall Music Festival, especially to come enjoy our NEPA Young Musicians . We were inspired by one our Young Musicians Nedalya who not only is an amazing fiddle player, but who was a camp counselor at Dyberry Day Camp. Thank you to Dan Figura Food, Box Pizza 🍕 and DABS ice cream for generously providing lunch and dessert. Many happy campers enjoyed the magical day at Dorflinger Suydam Wildlife Sanctuary . The Fall Music Festival strives each and every event to continue our circle of goodness and we can not do it without the support from our Community. TOGETHER WE REMEMBER. TOGETHER WE MAKE A DIFFERENCE.

WE NEED YOUR PICTURES!!!! It's Thankful Thursday, and tonight we are thankful for ALL our musical acts who each and every year continue to donate their talents to the Fall Music Festival at Dorflinger and our Community. Two Chicks One Guitar, Fall of EGO, Arnie's Milk Truck , Demons and Divas, Gram Baxtr and Steppin Eddy provide the groove and the back beat for the day. Our friend Jim Fiume delivered the Arnie's Milk Truck pictures, but we need your help with pictures of all the other bands. Please share your band pictures with us!!!

Perhaps one of the most memorable and moving moments from Saturday was when we honored the life and service of Aly Cahoon. The military presence followed by Maddie Franckowiak soaring rendering of our National Anthem gave us all goose bumps. The Fall Music Festival at Dorflinger entire team proudly stands with the Cahoon family remembering Aly. The part of how Fall Music Festival started is a sad one. It was born out of loss. Loss of one’s so close to our heart it’s impossible to describe with words. But there’s a second part. The part where friends who understand and love deeply came together in sadness and grief and created a circle of goodness that protects, honors, and continues to love and remember the true meaning behind friendship and how it can change the world starting with one and grow into so many!!!!

Today, September 15th, we celebrate and we remember! We stand by our dear friend, James Rutherford, and his family in their grief, their sadness, and their birthday celebration of their son, Brian Rutherford who would be turning 36 years old today.

His dad, and our best friend Jamie’s heart is twice as big because Brian’s heart is forever implanted in his. Jamie, inspired by Brian’s goodness, is tirelessly dedicated to carrying what Fall Music Festival stands for in loving memory of Brian. And he shares that space with many others who went through the loss of their loved ones because he is one of those rare people who stay with others through their sadness. He helps uplift, strengthen, and build, and most importantly, LOVE, deeply and sincerely, ready and "charging from the gate", just like Brian was at right from the beginning 36 years ago, at 7:32 am.

Today, we ask you to celebrate and remember with our friend, Jamie. We ask for love and prayers for Jamie and his family on this very difficult day. Brian’s heart lives on in many of us as it was as big as his dad’s shoulders carrying on Brian’s legacy of his commitment to his family, friends, and community for the sake of just being good!! He was a son, a brother, and a volunteer firefighter, giving it his best every day. Let’s all strive to carry on that light as we continue our circle of goodness, in Brian’s memory, today and every day!

To our friend Jamie and his family who give so much to all of us, we love you and we stand with you, holding you up, sharing in your grief, and celebrating Brian’s life! Happy birthday, Brian, your dad and your family are incredible people and we know you are so proud of them, as we are!!! 🙏🏻❤️🫶

Share, Comment or send a picture of your favorite Young Musicians. One of our favorite moments from Saturday was the incredible NEPA Young Musicians . Fourteen of our talented Young Musicians took the stage and
entertained the Fall Music Festival at Dorflinger crowd throughout the day. Each and every one of our Young Musicians received a beautiful commemorative 10th annual Fall Music Festival cooler filled with Calkins Creamery Cheese , gift cards from the The BoatHouse Restaurant , gas cards from Firmstone Tire and Gas, an assortment of homemade jams and pickles from Chandra Dickison and of course beautiful shirts designed by Quality Printing & Design . So many special moments and memories being made. We thank our Community for the ongoing support which allows us to grow our Young Musicians program.
