Come and enjoy the rich artistic spirit of Hattiesburg this summer during FestivalSouth®! Hattiesburg is centrally located – less than 100 miles from the Mississippi Gulf Coast, Jackson, New Orleans, and Mobile. Because of its convenient location, the city draws cultural tourists from across the nation and around the globe. Due to Hattiesburg’s rich music heritage and its passion for the arts, FestivalSouth® has been an enormous addition to the city’s culture for a decade. FestivalSouth® is Mississippi’s only multi-week, multi-genre arts festival, offering both free and ticketed events to local residents and cultural tourists. Presented by the Hattiesburg Concert Association (HCA), the festival is a showcase of artists of all types throughout June and some other featured events during the year. Whether it’s classical, jazz, country, or gospel, FestivalSouth® offers music for every age range and musical taste. Our FestivalArtists bring craftsmen, artisans, and tourists together to experience unique art and sculpture exhibits from local talent. Dance events bring exciting movement to the festival, while Artie Events for kids offer fun, fun, fun for FestivalFamilies. The FestivalSouth® Film Expo showcases independent films from around the world and our Festival5k get everyone up and running! You will not want to miss this city-wide celebration of music, dance, art, and theatre. FestivalSouth® is a division of The Hattiesburg Concert Association (HCA). The mission of the HCA is to present high caliber and diverse artistic and cultural events that enrich, engage and educate our community and state; contribute to the state’s creative economy by serving as a cultural leader for our state, region and nation; and provide cutting edge cultural and educational opportunities for artists of all levels and ages. This project is supported in part by funding from the Mississippi Arts Commission, a state agency, and in part, from the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency.
