even though I jumped out of bed early to get my church clothes on....duh...)

here is another one of my favorite thoughts: the DREAM is free, the HUSTLE is yours!!!

I really believe that! I have been hustling like crazy all week! In the mornings and evenings. I have been raking leaves and moving cement blocks when it gets hot, then i go back and work in the Museum on new exhibits and re-arrange some of the older ones..so, I NEVER HAVE TIME TO GET BORED.

MY NEXT BIG PROJECT WILL BE TO ATTACK THE GARDEN. LOTS OF WEEDS TO PULL. MOW THE GRASS. AND THERE IS A LOT OF DAMAGES TO REPAIR FROM THE VANDALS THAT HAVE ATTACKED ME THIS LAST 15 MONTHS!!!! THE WORK IS VERY THERAPEUTIC FOR ME AND I AM RECOVERING PHYSICALLY AND EMOTIONALLY EVERY DAY...THANK YOU GOD!!!!

IN CLOSING, I HAVE TO SHARE WITH YOU A GREAT PHONE CALL I RECEIVED YESTERDAY!! A LADY CALLED TO TELL ME THAT SHE IS COMING ON TUESDAY TO BRING HER GRANDCHILDREN. . ONE OF THEM, A BOY, SHE HAD BROUGHT HERE 3 YEARS AGO WHEN HE WAS FIVE...HE IS NOW 8.... AND, SHE SAID HE STILL REMEMBERS THE STORIES THAT I TOLD HIM 5 YEARS AGO!! AND HE TELLS THEM OFTEN EXACTLY VERBATIM THAT I TOLD HIM!!!! (AFTER 3 YEARS!! AND HE WASN'T EVEN IN KINDERGARTEN YET!!) HER STORY REALLY MADE MY DAY!!,

AS I AM TELLING GUESTS ABOUT OUR NEBRASKA MAP, I TRY TO INCLUDE THE KIDS AND THE ADULTS ..AND SOMETIMES IT IS A VERY THIN LINE.. TO KEEP EVERY ONES ATTENTION!! SO THANK YOU,JANELLE, YOU MADE MY DAY!!!

Today I want to leave you with another one of my favorite quotes. Some of you " old timers" may remember this name... Jess Lair. He wrote a NUMBER 1 BEST SELLING BOOK, IT WAS CALLED "I AIN'T MUCH BABY, BUT I'M ALL I'VE GOT!" I went to school with him every summer in Bozeman, Montana. He literally saved my life and turned me around in a new direction!!! Jess and his wife, Jackie became good friends of mine .. this was always his daily prayer, and now it is mine also.. .Lord, show me the person, that you would like me to teach; thru my life TODAY!!! AMEN!

TODAY IS A FANTASTIC FRIDAY AND I HAVE BEEN VERY BUSY STARTING AT 5 a.m. !!!
With my 1st. Phone call!!!
Give HASTINGS DAY IS OVER NOW FOR ANOTHER YEAR... HOWEVER GIVE BIGFOOT DAYS. WILL CONTINUE UNTIL SUNDAY AT 4:30!!

I HAVE 2 BIG GOALS THAT I HAVE PLANNED FOR ALMOST A YEAR...SO, I REALLY NEED SOME DONORS TO COME AND WALK ALONGSIDE OF ME..HERE IS ANOTHER FAVORITE QUOTE OF MINE. IT HAS BEEN ON MY REFRIGERATOR FOR OVER 10 YEARS!!! AND I STILL READ IT OFTEN.." DUST OFF YOUR DREAMS....... THEY ARE MORE POWERFUL THAN YOU EVER :::IMAGINED !!!" THAT IS SO TRUE!

SO, HERE IS ANOTHER ONE OF MY TRUE STORIES.: All of my life i ad wanted to have a small rv so Dick and I could travel and live in it when we were gone. About 20 years ago I was at the dr.'s officefor a check up.. and i was in the waiting room looking at magazines. All of a sudden, there was a camper van! It was a class B motor home!!! Exactly what i wanted! It was small enough that you could park in a regular parking space downtown!!! I liked that. Inside it had a kitchen. . A sink, stove top, a microwave, and a refrigerator. It also had a nice closet, shower and a toilet.
In the back it had a nice table. And either 2 single beds or a full bed. It also had a built in tv and dvd player. It was LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT FOR ME! UNTIL I SAW THE PRICE, IT WAS $125,000!!! It might as well had been a million!!

Then, I did something I had never done before in my life!!! I tore that page out of the magazine and i brought it home and put it up on my bulletin board. I walked by it every single day.. I LOVED THAT RV.!!!! BUT I KNEW I WOULD NEVER BE ABLE TO HAVE ONE LIKE THAT... IT DIDN'T MATTER, IT WAS STILL MY DREAM...(FOR OVER 10 YEARS..) every month i would save about. $25.00 or $50.00...

I continued to drive thru and look at rv's when i was out of town..but they were either way too big. Or way too expensive for me...HOWEVER, THE PICTURE WAS STILL ON MY BULLETIN BOARD AND I SAW IT EVERY DAY!!....

THEN, ONE NIGHT, ABOUT 10:30, MY VERY BEST FRIEND, DEBBIE, CALLED ME AND SAID, "I FOUND IT"... I SAID " FOUND WHAT? " ... SHE SAID "YOUR RV!!". SHE TOLD ME TO CALL THE RV PLACE IN LINCOLN RIGHT AWAY. !!! AND I SAID THEY WOULDN'T BE OPEN AT 10:45 AT NIGHT. SHE SAID CALL!! AND I DID..AND WHAT A SURPRISE!!! THE SALESMAN ANSWERED. I TOLD HIM WE WERE INTERESTED. HE SAID MANY PEOPLE HAD LOOKED AT IT AND IT WOULD BE GONE IN 2 DAYS. HE SAID I COULD PUT $100 DOWN ON IT RIGHT THEN USING MY CREDIT CARD, AND IF WE DIDN'T WANT IT HE WOULD REFUND MY MONEY. WE HAD TO BE IN LINCOLN AT 9 A.M.

SO WE WENT TO LINCOLN TO GO SHOPPING...when I saw it in person it was LOVE at 1st SIGHT!!! DEBBIE DROVE IT AROUND 2 BLOCKS AND SHE SAID IT WAS PERFECT... I DROVE IT AROUND 2 BLOCKS AND I LOVED IT!!! I WANTED IT TO TRAVEL IN AND SHE NEEDED IT OCCASIONALLY FOR A TRAVELING OFFICE AND TO TAKE IT FOR A FUN WEEKEND WITH HER KIDS. AND SO WE BOUGHT IT TOGETHER 50-50. IT COST ME $4,500... ALMOST TO THE PENNY THAT I HAD SAVED FOR 10 YEARS!!!! SO NOW, YOU WILL SEE ME DRIVING AROUND HASTINGS IN MY WHITE RV THAT SAYS BIGFOOT LADY ON THE SIDE!!!

THE WHOLE POINT OF THIS STORY IS; "DUST OFF YOUR DREAMS, THEY ARE MORE POWERFUL THAN YOU EVER IMAGINED!!!"

TODAY IS A WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY!!
And my BATTERIES ARE CHARGED!!

ONE MORE DAY UNTIL GIVE HASTINGS DAY!!! AND ONE MORE DAY UNTIL GIVE BIGFOOT DAYS!!!

THIS IS SO EXCITING!! I AM ABOUT TO POP! MY MIND IS GOING ABOUT 100 M.P.H. (THAT IS WHY I STARTED OFF WITH MY FAVORITE COLOR. RED!!! (When I was 5 years old. My mom and dad were building houses in Hastings. They built our house with the latest of everything in it ... so people could walk thru and get ideas. Everyone loved it!!! It was all beautiful pastels... until they came to my bedroom... and when they opened the door , they almost fainted!!! It was fire engine red!! I loved it! And my dad said we could do it! I loved my room..(and today my bedroom is red, my fireplace is red, my refrigerator and kitchen sink is red. My patio is red!!! My MUSEUM IS TRIMMED WITH RED!! I think these places are where i get my energy!!!

And tomorrow i will start GIVE BIGFOOT DAYS!! I AM READY!!! AND... ALL OF A SUDDEN. I HAD A VERY VIVID MEMORY! (THIS IS FOR MY CLASSMATES AT HASTINGS HIGH SCHOOL IN 1962 OR 1963..) WE HAD A TEACHER THERE AND HIS NAME WAS MR. SIEKMANN. HE WAS ALWAYS VERY SERIOUS AND I NEVER SAW HIM SMILE.. OUR SCHOOL WAS GOING TO THE STATE BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT IN LINCOLN!!! WE WERE VERY EXCITED!! THEN MR. SIEKMANN WALKED OUT TO THE CENTER OF THE FLOOR.. HE SAID VERY QUIETLY AND VERY DIGNIFIED. "you have to have the will to win." And . Then he took a couple steps forward ... and he said a little louder, " YOU have to have the WILL TO WIN!".... AND THEN HE YELLED MUCH LOUDER.... ""YOU HAVE TO HAVE THE WILL TO WIN!!!" And then... he took a couple more steps forward, and he was in the center of the gym floor!!! And both of his hands were raised above his head and he was chanting as loud as he could yell, "THE WILL TO WIN!!!" "THE WILL TO WIN!!!" "THE WILL TO WIN!!!!! " WITHIN A FEW MINUTES, EVERY STUDENT AND TEACHER IN THE AUDITORIUM HAD THEIR FIST RAISED AND THEY WERE ALL CHAN TING " THE WILL TO WIN!!" THE WILL TO WIN!!!!! "THE WILL TO WIN!!!" THE STUDENTS AND STAFF WAS ELECTRIFIED!!! !! I have never seen such a demonstration in my entire life!! And , I NEVER FORGOT IT!! And so today and every day i am chanting, " THE WILL TO WIN!!! "

It is with sadness and regret in our hearts that we have had to cancel the Nebraska Bigfoot Conference of 2026.

Due to unexpected changes and situations beyond our control we have withdraw our conference this year. We love and appreciate all of our guest and thank you so much for your support. All tickets will be fully refunded. We are diligently working at getting refunds out as quickly as possible.

Please be assured this is NOT the end of our conference. We will be back next year at a different venue with the same quality of speakers as before. Our speakers from this year will be returning next year and are eager to share their experiences and knowledge with you all. So here is to new beginnings and seeing all of our friends and supporters in 2027.

Hi BIGFOOTERS AND FRIENDS!

COMING TO YOU LIVE FROM BIGFOOT BOULEVARD IN HASTINGS NEBRASKA!!

It is a nice sunny day..but we are supposed to look out for Sunday and the rest of the week.. rain snow wind and ice!!! I guess i won't be raking the yard.

Fortunately i have many things to keep me busy. I have started writing my 2nd. Book and i can see that it is going to be much more difficult than the first book. It is titled GIANTS IN NEBRASKA. I KNOW MANY OF YOU HAVE INTERNET AND all kinds of research skills.

So, this is what i am looking for: a man in Hastings told me there was a man living in Hastings that was a giant. He thought he was about 10 feet tall. In downtown Hastings on 2nd. Street there is a large office building called DUTTON-LAINSON. THE MAN TOLD me that just east of there was a funeral home called LIVINGSTON.

THE man told me that when this giant died he was taken there. I need to find out his name. and any other information (newspaper clippings etc.) The man told me that the giant man was so big and tall (approximately 10 feet) that they didn"t have a coffin big enough for him... and so they had to have one specially made for him.

I don't know any other information about him except his burial. He finally got a coffin and he was buried at PARKVIEW CEMETERY IN HASTINGS. I REALLY WANT TO VISIT HIS GRAVE and possibly take a picture of his tombstone if he has one... and if not, possibly get one for him.

I would really appreciate help on this project. And if you do find some information for me i would like to include it in my book plus your picture ... these articles would be one complete chapter. And one thing that i really hate is plagarism and i don't do that!!!
