Deertrees Theatre Gail Phaneuf Exec Director. In 1936 a marvelous opera house was built on the site of an old deer run in the forest above the village of Harrison.

Listed on the National Registry of Historic Places, Deertrees is a non-profit performing arts center presenting an eclectic offering of humor, music, and plays during a season that runs from late June until the early September. Constructed of rose hemlock in the Adirondack Style with hand carved fixtures and near perfect acoustics, the 300 seat theatre was considered as fine as any on Broadway. No

☀️ Meet the cast of Annie ☀️

Samantha Veno (Annie - yellow cast), age 11, is absolutely thrilled to be playing her dream role of Annie in this production! Audiences may recognize her from her recent performances as Elsa with Arts in Motion and Young Fiona in Shrek at Deertrees Theatre. She wants to send a huge thank you to the amazing directors, choreographer, cast and crew, with a very special shoutout to Willow (Sandy) for being the best stage companion and helping her shine. Finally, Samantha wants to share her deepest gratitude with her parents, family, and friends for their endless love and support. Enjoy the show!

Vika (Annie - blue cast) is a rising seventh grader at Molly Ockett Middle School in Fryeburg, Maine. Over the past four years, she has been thrilled to participate in school and community productions and camps, as they have given her the opportunity to grow under the direction of incredibly talented mentors, including Mary Bastoni, Hanna-Jo Weisberg, Jenny Bradeen, and Amy Frechette, while also making many great friends along the way. She looks forward to many more years of performing, learning, and growing on stage, and hopes you enjoy the show!

☀️ Meet the cast of Annie ☀️

Jennifer (Grace Farrell) is excited to return to the Deertrees Theater this summer! She had a blast last year playing the Dragon and Mama Bear in Shrek the Musical. Favorite past roles include Miss Honey in Matilda the Musical with M&D Productions, Marmee in Little Women with Arts in Motion Theater Company, and Mrs. Banks in Mary Poppins with Arts in Motion Theater Company. Jennifer lives in Conway, NH where she works as an elementary music teacher. She is excited to once again share the stage with her daughter Hazel. She wants to thank everyone at Deertrees for all their hard work and would also like to thank her husband for all his love and support.

Michael (Oliver Warbucks) is excited to be performing for his first time at Deertrees Theater, and in the role of Daddy Warbucks! He has been seen in local productions of Mary Poppins (George Banks), The Sound of Music (Captain VonTrapp), Fun Home (Bruce Bechdel), Secret Garden (Archibald Craven), and A Christmas Carol (Scrooge & Bob Cratchit). He has also performed in classics like My Fair Lady, Carousel, The Music Man, and South Pacific. Michael is also a percussionist and has performed with local artists of jazz, pop music, and symphonic orchestras. Michael is from the Baltimore-DC area, where he started his love of musical theater performing in dinner theater productions. One which included a 6-month run of Annie! He would like to thank Hannah-Jo, Zack and Mary for their hard work, talent and encouragement. He is thrilled and grateful to be performing with such a talented cast and crew. Michael is dedicating tonight’s performance to his late parents and brother, who loved and supported the arts! Enjoy the show!!!

☀️ Meet the cast of Annie ☀️

Taylor (Ensemble) is so excited to be a part of this show. Some past productions include Shrek the Musical, James and the Giant Peach, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Legally Blonde, and Fiddler on the Roof. Later in the summer you can see her as a Bad Idea Bear in Avenue Q! When not on stage, Taylor works as a teacher at Bridge Crossing Academy and a ski instructor at Pleasant Mountain. She is so grateful for her friends and family for supporting her through this process. She hopes you enjoy the show!
