Today marks the 43rd anniversary of the tragic Diamond Crash.

On this day in 1982 the Diamond Formation, made up of four T-38 Talons, crashed while practicing over Indian Springs Air Force Auxiliary Field (now Creech Air Force Base) after the lead aircraft experienced a mechanical failure, resulting in the loss of all four pilots.

We remember and honor the lives and legacies of Maj. Norm Lowery III, Capt. Willie Mays, Capt. Joseph Peterson, and Capt. Mark Melancon.
