We would also like to congratulate these fairgoers on winning the 4 Drivers Education Certificates through Moosehead Driving School. These fairgoers had to go down a poultry education journey with our Harmony Free Fair Poultry Pass in order to be entered to win. Thank you to Moosehead Driving School for helping make this opportunity possible for our fairgoers!

This year the Harmony Free Fair was all about poultry! From our egg-cellent display of eggs, to our brooding quail and chicken eggs in the Exhibition Hall there was so much to learn! And learn we did! Our bicycle contest entrants and Drivers Ed contest entrants used a Harmony Free Fair Poultry Pass to search out information on the different poultry at the fair in order to enter the contests. And to add to the joviality, there were young fairgoers volunteers in inflatable chicken and peacock costumes interacting with fairgoers all weekend long. If you’ve ever wondered what Harmony Free Fair is all about, this is it, teaching fairgoers of all ages about agriculture in our area and making it fun so it sticks! Thank you to all that came to our fair and celebrated our 78th Anniversary, Americas 250th Anniversary, and all things poultry.

Congratulations to the winners of our Bicycle giveaway. 30 bicycles were were donated by Bob and Pam Miller, longtime trustees/volunteers of the fair. We are so appreciative of their generosity. These young fairgoers were given a Poultry Pass to fill out while learning about all the different poultry on the fairgrounds. This entered them into a drawing to be one of the lucky winners. They all had a prize in mind and worked hard to get there through education and perseverance!

The 78th Annual Harmony Free Fair has come to a close. We had some wonderful new additions to the fair this year including the Power Wheels Derby and a Pig Scramble for 5 year olds that chased around our wonderful fair volunteers dressed in inflatable pig costumes :) Our amazing "Meet the Farmer" demonstrators took time away from their farms to come and educate our fairgoers about the incredible aspects of farming in Maine. Thank you so much to the volunteers that ran the Children's AG-Tivity area with so many fun things for our young fairgoers to do all weekend long! Thank you to all the volunteers that worked tirelessly in the Food Booth. Thank you to all the volunteers that worked in the animal building and petting zoo! Thank you to all the volunteers that did demonstrations in the Agricultural Arts and Livestock Building. And thank you to all the volunteers that helped at the fair! We hope our fairgoers enjoyed the fair as much as we did and hope to see you all next year!
