Old Canvasback Decoy needed some help. Neck was broken, paint extremely thick and uneven. Sanded the paint, primed the wood, glue the neck and puttied the crack, now waiting on the first coat of Gesso to dry!

Had a great weekend at the Core Sound Decoy Festival. My girlfriend, Jordan Ann Guthrie, entered the Painting Contest and got 7th place which is great for her first time! My bird placed 6th which is one spot higher than last year but this year we will both challenge ourselves to do better!

Been working on my painting competition Greater Scaup for the Core Sound Decoy Festival. Pretty satisfied with what I have. If you've never been to the decoy festival, be sure to check it out. It is on Harkers Island at the elementary school this Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 5th & 6th!
