Taste of Twain, Wine, Food and Beer Festival

The Taste of Twain Wine. Food and Beer Festival showcases great Missouri and regional wineries, Local, State and Regional craft breweries and Hannibal area restaurants with two stages of live music, all surrounded by the Historic Homes of the Mark Twain Boyhood Home & Museum. Stroll through the variety of wine, food and beer booths located throughout the Mark Twain Interpretive Center Parking Lot and gardens of the Mark Twain Boyhood Home.

Our Local, Missouri and Regional Wineries

Come thirsty to the Museum’s Taste of Twain, Wine, Food & Beer Festival, as there’s an endless supply of mouthwatering beverages to try. Featuring such purveyors of Missouri- and Illinois-made spirits as the Mark Twain Wood Hat Distillery’s famous bourbons and award-winning wines by Stone Hill Winery, St James Winery, HAHA (Hannibal Area Homebrewers Association) and Small Batch Winery.

Our Local, State and Regional Craft Breweries

For the craft beer enthusiasts, try some craft brews created by our Taste of Twain sponsor, the Mark Twain Brewing Co. And sample the amazing brews from Sudwerk Brewing Co. of Davis, CA or Show Me Beverages’ lines by Toppling Goliath Brewing Co. out of Decorah, IA and the St. Louis based Earthbound Brewing and Heavy Riff Brewing.

And more…Members of the Hannibal Area Home Brewers Association are on hand to discuss home brewing methods, offer samples of their brews, and discuss brewing processes for those that may be interested in making their own brews.

The Taste of Twain also has an array of samplings for the food connoisseur. Area restaurants will be showcasing some of their favorite dishes, from Chilean Salmon or Prime Rib on Crostini or fresh grilled steaks to sliders, gourmet cheeses, dips, cakes and an array of fresh food. Wander through the many food booths including Hannibal’s new Riverside Restaurant, Fiddlesiks Food & Spirits, County Market, Saint Avenue Steaks and Buffet and many more!

Our Bourbon and Cigar “Lounge”

Wood Hat Spirits from New Florence, MO brings tastings of their award-winning bourbons. Noted as the first craft distillery in Montgomery County, they are the only wood-fired distillery still operating in the country. And Cigar connoisseurs will enjoy the variety of ci**rs available for purchase in the cigar booth by Green Door Ci**rs out of Kirksville, Missouri.

Two Stages of Live Music!

The Taste of Twain, Wine, Food & Beer Festival appeals to foodies, wine enthusiasts, craft brew connoisseurs and music lovers. Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy the music by musicians Seth Wade and Tim Hart on our two stages. Wade will be performing on the stage adjacent to the historical WPA Stone Wall and Hart will be on the main stage outside Sam’s Boyhood Home on Hill Street.

More About the Taste of Twain

Taste of Twain Wine, Food and Beer Festival will be held September 14, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on the grounds of the Mark Twain Boyhood Home and Museum, Hill and Main Street.

Arm bands for the event can be reserved, in advance, through the Mark Twain Boyhood Home & Museum offices at 573-221-9010 ext. 404. Bands are $25.00 in advance and will be available at the event for $30.00. Must be 21 to purchase drinking band. Designated Driver bands are available for $15.00 in advance and $20.00 at event. Childs bands, ages 5 - 10 are $10.00. Under 5 are free.
