From October 24th through 25th, Great Lakes Dungeon Siege returns for its third iteration. Now in its second year in Detroit, GLDS continues to boast an eclectic lineup of both dungeon synth and related heavy hitters and obscure artists. From Thangorodrim’s dark, heavy dungeon synth to Malfet’s emotive, Arthurian music and Sorrowmoon’s atmospheric dungeon metal, Great Lakes Dungeon Siege 2026 will deliver a Siege for the ages!

Prices: $60 single day pass, $80 two-day pass

Kloister’s (formerly Cloister Shadows) fusion of Berlin School synth worship with dungeon synth minimalism makes for a unique, mesmerizing performance, and his impressive technical setup is certainly something to behold! Releasing and performing the second half of a long-gestating double album, which is being released during Great Lakes Dungeon Siege this year, hermit knight’s performance will be effective, beautiful, and, as it has happened before, tear-jerking. Dungeon synth duo Amon Lanc are relative newcomers to the scene, but their presence is certainly known. Drawing from the darkest pits of Tolkien lore, this Indianapolis-based two-pieces’ deep, fantastical take on dungeon synth is tormentous and blackened, featuring a dual vocal attack and live electronic drums. Featuring members of Atavistic Decay and Graveripper, Amon Lanc’s tenure is tried and true, and their metallic background shines in the most sinister of caverns.

With miserable tones and marching snares, Mortwight’s pitch-black dungeon synth draws from the most lugubrious and despondent tones found within dungeon synth and aggressively pushes them to the forefront. This is not fantasy music – it is human, and it is real. Now with a new album out, expect recently released material to make its debut at this year’s Great Lakes Dungeon Siege.
