The Aggrolites are back to celebrate 20 years of their Self-Titled record plus their incredible all-new LP Super Atomic which drops today. They are joining forces with The English Beat, Derrick Morgan, Out Of Control Army, The Slackers, The Impossibles, Catbite, and lots more on Saturday, September 12 for a killer day of ska at the beach.

Dunia Best and Junor Francis are returning as emcees for Supernova for the 3rd year. They always bring the energy, the vibes, and the soul of ska to the stage.

Junor Francis was born and raised in Manchester Parish, Jamaica and now keeps ska and reggae alive and well in the LA scene. Dunia Best is a multi-talented musician whose musical journey spans internationally acclaimed bands like Agent 99, Dubistry, Brave New Girl, and currently Dunia and Aram.

If you’re a fan of classic Jamaican ska and rocksteady, you are going to love The Trojanites at Supernova this year.

They came out to our after-party last year with Jackie Mendez and absolutely blew us away, so we had to bring them back for the main festival in 2026.

The band is made up of current and former members of legendary LA ska and reggae groups including The Revivers, Mobtown, The Debonaires, and more. This set is getting even bigger with members of the Freedom Fortress Band joining them on stage thanks to Studio One Project and KP from LionsBridge.

Also thanks Marv Mack at Soulside Productions for helping make this happen. We'll be announcing our last band tomorrow morning.

The English Beat are one of the founding bands of Two Tone, and their 1980 groundbreaking album, I Just Can't Stop It, helped define a generation of ska fans and launched a career that would produce classics like Mirror in the Bathroom, Hands Off... She's Mine, Too Nice To Talk To, and Save It for Later.

More than four decades later, you just can’t stop The English Beat.

Thanks to your generosity, Supernova is excited to announce a partnership with Soundscapes on two summer camps for Hampton Roads' kids this June and August. Both camps are scheduled to end with a ska performance too.

Soundscapes provides music education and performance opportunities to students on the Virginia Peninsula from 2nd grade through age 25 through free after-school music programs, summer programs, and community ensembles.

We're also partnering with students from Hampton University on our livestream again this year and donating instruments to Virginia schools in need. supernovaalliance.org

Saturday night after-party announcement!

Mobtown, one of the great bands of the ‘90s ska revival, will be joining The Slackers and DJ Chuck Wren! Formed in 1991, the L.A.-based Mobtown is making the rarest of East Coast appearances. Like seeing a unicorn in the wild. And don't forget that The Slackers will be performing a 30th anniversary set for Better Late Than Never.
