Dear Athletes,
We are excited to see you Saturday at Chappapeela Sports Park for this great cause!! Here are a few reminders to help ensure a smooth and enjoyable race day:
The race will start promptly at 8am. Please see below for the race route.
Parking: There are two large parking lots in the front of Chappapeela with easy access to the start line/ finish festival.
Packet Pickup:
There will be two options for packet pickup.
Early packet pickup will be at Gnarly Barley in Hammond from 12-2 on Friday, December 19. Please bring your driver's license or registration confirmation email to packet pickup. If you are picking up for a friend, please have a picture of their ID or their race registration confirmation email.
**Gnarly Barley is a sponsor of this race. Feel free to hang around after picking up your packet, grab a brew, and support local!
Race day packet pickup will be from 6:45am-7:45am at Chappapeela Sports Park near the finish line/ finish line festival. Please bring your driver's license or registration confirmation email to packet pickup.
The deadline to register and receive a t shirt was December 7. If you registered by December 7, you will receive a race shirt at packet pickup. Due to the limited order, we cannot swap shirt sizes. If you did not register by December 7, you may visit the packet pickup tent after the race to see if there are any shirts left.
Late Registration: Registration will close on December 18 at midnight. If you have family or friends that would like to join us, please help spread the word!
Aid Station: There will be one aid station on the course located at the turnaround near mile 1.5. Thank you to SLU Lab School BETA Club for sponsoring this aid station!
Post Race Party: We invite you to hang out after you finish and enjoy beer donated by Gnarly Barley (21+), bounce houses donated by Always Jumping Inflatables, Donuts and Bananas donated by SLU Lab School Dad's Club, and Jambalaya for donation to benefit the Beyl's by Paul Ragusa from River City One Hour Heating and Air.
Awards: There will be an overall male and female award as well as a 1st place male/female age group award for the following age groups. Awards will be presented at the post race party.
