On Sunday, October 11, 2026, we hope you'll join us for our 4th Annual 5K Walk/Run To Save a Life at Devonshire Hall, 109 Sanford Street,Hamden, CT 06514.
The Run/Walk To Save a Life 5K is in honor of Christopher Andreozzi, who passed away unexpectedly from sudden cardiac death caused by an arrhythmia on May 23, 2023.
Thanks to your support, last year's event welcomed more than 450 participants, and together we provided Hands-Only CPR and AED training to families and community members. Every year, approximately 350,000 people in the United States experience an out-of-hospital sudden cardiac arrest. Immediate CPR and the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) can double—or even triple—a person's chance of survival.
Proceeds from the event support the CJA Charitable Foundation, Inc., which honors Christopher's legacy by raising awareness about sudden cardiac death and inherited arrhythmias, providing CPR education and AED training, placing lifesaving equipment throughout our community, and funding scholarships at Hamden High School and the Yale University School of Nursing.
The course is flat, fast and safe; with 100% of the course on the Farmington Canal Trail with no road crossings. We encourage both runners AND walkers. Registration includes an event t-shirt (as long as you sign up before the cutoff date).
Awards will be given for the top 3 overall Male, Female, and Non-Binary finishers, as well as the Top 3 Male and Female finishers in each age group.
Whether you walk, run, volunteer, or simply come to support the cause, your presence helps carry Christopher's legacy forward. Every participant, every sponsor, every donation, and every person who learns CPR brings us one step closer to making our community safer.
Thank you for being part of this journey with us. We hope to see you—and your family and friends—on Sunday, September 27 for another meaningful day of remembrance, hope, and lifesaving education.
