When we say that the ODF hunters and families come in as guests and leave as family, we mean it. The relationships built in the ODF turkey hunt weekends don't stop and go away as soon as the hunt is over. Several of the guides, hunters, and family member have been in contact with each other since the hunt. We love getting pictures of their successes well after our hunt. We are truly humbled to be able to have a lasting impact on their lives for a weekend that carries through the rest of all our lives. Relationships built on faith and the outdoors. If you need proof that even the small things make a big impression on these kids and families, watch the video of the president of the Limbhangers, Paul Thompson surprising Brantley Stanley with a turkey hunting trip a year or so ago. Although he probably won't say he was crying and say it was his allergies, his eyes were leaking from what we have been told. This is what the Tattnall-Evans Limbhangers are all about, impacting the youth through the outdoors. Brantley is the young man that gave us his life scripture that we are honored to be the ODF Turkey Hunt scripture.
Joshua 1:9
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
