Hi friends! January coaching dates are now live!! Use the link in bio to book a session. And here are a couple of student testimonials for good measure:)

“I’ve never worked with someone before who was able to get me out of my head so quickly. Gabe’s process as a coach gave me the tools that got me into grad school and that I’ve continued to use daily in my professional career. I can’t thank him enough.”

“Gabe is a phenomenal teacher and coach! I am so grateful for the strides I was able to make in my acting while working with him. He is intuitive and shrewd, and his infusion of clown in his teaching/coaching really helped me to embrace and play with the parts of myself I was holding back. He challenged me to be exposed and foot-forward with my characters, and to work from a place of hope and positivity. He has an extensive knowledge of contemporary and classical plays and helped me choose material for grad school auditions that fit like a glove but had lots of variety and surprise. I was accepted to Yale Drama, my top choice MFA program, and I owe so much of that success to the wisdom and experience he shared with me.”

A Very Special Writing Class
Sundays | 11-1pm PST / 2-4pm EST / 7-9pm GMT
June 4th - July 9th on Zoom
$295 | Each group is open to 8 participants

About the Class:
A Very Special Writing Class (or Claire’s Writing Cult), is a playful and challenging class with weekly exercises and writing prompts — that run the gamut from surreal to straightforward, very deep to very dumb — will encourage you to get out of your head, delve into your unconscious, and develop your authentic voice, leading to vulnerable, funny, fierce, strange, and surprising work. Each week, we’ll subvert elements of memoir, theater, fiction, and other genres to help inspire creativity, with a curriculum that’s designed for artists of all kinds: writers, comedians, performers, filmmakers, visual artists, and non-artists interested in exploring creative expression. Dropouts, shut-ins and people picked last in gym class are welcome!*
*Jocks, geniuses and the well-adjusted also welcome. This is an inclusive class.

Student testimonials:
“Taking Claire's class reminded me of the joy of exploration and the connection that’s made possible by being vulnerable in my writing.”

“Claire is a master of uncorking the absurd. Her class created an attitude of play and honored a part of my brain that is not linear or logical, giving me permission to allow myself to go in more divergent creative directions.”

“I had a blast and was super inspired. This class totally got my creativity flowing in a great way and now I’ve been writing almost every day.”

About Claire:
Claire Titelman (she/her/hers) is an actor, writer, and Andy Kaufman Award-nominated comedian based in Los Angeles, recently named one of LA Weekly's “Eight L.A. Artists and Art-World Figures to Watch.”

A longtime roundtable regular on the last night show Chelsea Lately, Claire has appeared on New Girl, Parks and Recreation, Wilfred, Veronica Mars and Cold Case, and was part of various pilot casts including Paul Feig’s Girl Coders.

JUST TWO SPOTS LEFT! GRAB 'EM WHILE YOU CAN!!

Silverthorne Theater Company
・・・
Silverthorne Theater Company is excited to announce that we are offering an acting class, in partnership with Completely Ridiculous Productions! This is a unique opportunity to learn from one of our favorite actors, Gabriel Levey, recently seen as Mr Marks in our production of INTIMATE APPAREL. Gabriel will be teaching a six week class, ACTING AS PLAY, beginning April 15th! More details below, and you can sign up by visiting the below website: www.completelyridiculousproductions.com/classes

Rediscover your wonder and the simple pleasure of playing pretend! Get out of your head and jump into your body! Give your chorus of critics a break and make a glorious mess!
In this weekly class, participants will be provided with a safe, brave space to:

· take big risks before feeling “ready”
· put logic aside to make way for a highly imaginative physical appetite/objective
· embrace the precarious pleasure of not needing to know what’s coming next
· find fun in whatever given circumstances the character has no choice but to endure
· and always lead with hope, regardless of the inevitable disasters laid out in the text

Building on the work of master teachers Christopher Bayes (Head of Movement, Yale School of Drama), Ron Van Lieu (former chair of NYU Grad Acting and the Yale School of Drama) and Evan Yionoulis (former chair of the Yale School of Drama and current chair of The Juilliard School), Acting as Play is a wholly unique approach to text and scene work, centering imagination, play and vulnerability as the foundation of all performance. Over the 6 classes, participants will have the opportunity to work on a monologue of their choosing and a scene, which will be assigned.
Be prepared to move, make a big ol’ ruckus and have fun, maybe too much fun and then some more fun, just for fun!
