Back in 2004, Shawn Oblen from Budd Lake, NJ purchased his first monster truck. It was set up like an old school monster truck (leaf spring suspension, stock pick up truck chassis) and he named it Webslinger. After getting the hang of driving it around his farm, he decided to make a business out of it by adding 8 seats in the bed of the truck. After many years of success with that, he purchased th
e Extinguisher monster ride truck from Pat Summa in New Milford, CT, which started life as the first Grave Digger monster ride truck. But, as if two monster ride trucks weren't enough, Shawn purchased an old school monster truck from south New Jersey and converted it into a monster ride truck, calling it Big Tex. Shawn expanded NJ Monster Trucks into a three monster ride truck operation. Shawn got his start in the monster truck industry by operating monster ride trucks very successfully. But, after being in talks with Pat Summa from Thrasher Racing, he began to expand NJ Monster Trucks even further. In 2014, Shawn purchased the Thrasher monster truck from Pat, which now made NJ Monster Trucks a professional monster truck "race" team. Shawn made his debut driving Thrasher while Pat was still the owner of it in early in 2014, but Shawn will make his debut as the new owner of Thrasher in January of 2015. DRIVER BIOGRAPHY:
