Q: Are the pink boots for fashion or function? 🎀
A: Function! Protective leg boots are important gear for a working horse. Splint or sport boots are used to support the horse's ligaments as well as protect the outside of their leg. Bell boots protect the back of the hoof from the back feet. Horses often "over reach", meaning their back feet reach too far forward while running or stopping and hit the front feet. Boots protect the back of the foot and keep them from pulling their shoes off.
