Rep. Yassamin Ansari (AZ-03) yesterday announced more than $17.7 million in her Community Project Funding requests for Arizona’s Third Congressional District have been signed into law by the president - including $2 million for reconstruction of Guadalupe's Biehn Colony Park.
"We are delighted to learn that the $2 million Biehn Colony Park Renovation Project was approved in the Transportation appropriations bill," said Town of Guadalupe Mayor Valerie Molina. "We thank Congresswoman Ansari for her leadership of this project and her ongoing support of the Town of Guadalupe. With this funding, we will renovate the much-used baseball field, its stands, lighting and restrooms, add a new playground, park lighting, and park path."
Next steps will include working with Rep. Ansari's staff to determine flow and availability of funds, which could take more than a year.
