All of us here at the Peterson Lake Ice Race would like to thank everyone for coming out to our one and only event for 2026. We had 55 cars sign in and countless crew members and fans show up. Thank you to Grove City Fire and Rescue for supplying everyone with great food again this season. Also a big thank you to all of our track crew, workers and volunteers.

With only getting one race in this year the decision has been made to not have end of the year awards or banquet. Next season will be a fresh start. If you were a rookie this season you will be one next season as well.

Looking forward too seeing everyone for the 2027 ice race season.

Peterson Lake Ice Race Reminders!!

The week is flying by ahead of our first race of the 2026 season. We have a couple things to remind everyone of.

#1 To be down on the ice during the event will require a pit pass. If you are on the shore spectators are free to watch.

#2 Helmets are required for everyone in the cars and must be strapped on. Please remember you helmets!!!

#3 When you register your car please know your car number and which class your in. Yes we have had people come to the draw window not knowing how many cylinders there cars were.

#4 We have a limited amount or apparel left. Limited supply and limited sizes. We are trying to blow out the rest of our product. $5 t-shirts and $10 sweatshirts. Ask at the sign in shack.

Saturday will be here before you know it.

Races are this Saturday February 7th!!!

2026 ICE RACE DAY SCHEDULE !!!!

10:00 Registration opens
10:30 Hot laps begin. Must be registered before you can hot lap or ride.
11:15 Hot laps end
11:30 Registration closes. If you are not registered or in line to register by 11:30 you will not be allowed to race.
11:40 Manditory pit meeting. Every driver and rider must attend the pit meeting.
12:00 Races begin.

The Gambler Race is back!!! Same as last rules as last year, 20 cars for 20 laps non stop. First 20 cars signed in will get to race. $20 entry fee. Few changes to the rules this time.

#1 Only the driver can sign in the car. No signing in multiple cars. One $20 for one spot for one driver. Drivers must be present.

#2 The driver that signs in the car must drive the car. No switching drivers.

#3 If for any reason you are disqualified from any of your other races you forfeit your Gambler spot.

Remember everyone this is still a race and not a way to finish off you car or take out your frustration with other drivers.
