This was asked earlier this week, "Why do nails continue to grow after death?"

Why Growth Stops

No blood flow: Nail growth requires a continuous supply of oxygen and glucose delivered by living blood.Cell death.

Dehydration: After death, the body rapidly loses moisture.Skin retraction: The skin and soft tissues dehydrate and shrink, pulling back from the nail beds. The illusion: This retraction exposes more of the existing nail that was previously covered by skin, creating an optical illusion that the nails are growing.

Have a question??? Just pm me and I'll get it answered. 😃

The gruesome sight features in literature and horror films, but is it true? To find out, we need to look into the world of organ transplants.
