We had such a fun first night at our Haunted Hayride, and there's a ton of fun to be had this evening! Here's the details for tonight:

🎡 Conner Family Amusements, Inc. rides open at 4:30 pm.
👻 "Free Scare" is open from 5-6 pm. Kids age 7 and under can ride the Haunted Hayride for free, with one parent allowed. The lights remain on for a more low-key experience.
👑 The Western Illinois Fair Queen & Princess Pageant Trunk or Treat is open from 6-8 pm! Bring the kids to gather up ALL THE CANDY!
🎃 Haunted Hayride: Haunted School is open from 7-10 pm.

Admission to the grounds if $5, and getting on the Haunted Hayride is $10. Come hang out and have fun tonight at the Western Illinois Fairgrounds!

Our 2026 Haunted Hayride opens tonight at the Western Illinois Fair in Griggsville! Be one of the first to experience all of the thrills and chills of our "Haunted School" experience!

We're open from 7 - 10 pm tonight. Cost of admission onto the grounds is $5 each, and admission onto the Hayride is an added $10.. Come in and get a quick snack, or hop one of the carnival rides from Conner Family Amusements, Inc. before getting your scare on! (NOTE: Carnival rides are an additional charge.)

Our team has worked hard to put together a fun experience and we can't wait to see you at the fairgrounds this weekend!

The first weekend of our 2026 Haunted Hayride: Haunted School begins on Friday! Here's the important info that you need to know for our first weekend of operation:

🎃 Friday, October 16: Haunted Hayride open 7 - 10 pm.
🎃 Saturday, October 17: "Free Scare" from 5 - 6 pm, brought to you by The Moose Lodge 420. (No-cost ride for ages 7 and under ride free with the sun up, and lights on. One parent or guardian admitted with child.)
🎃 Saturday, October 17: Western Illinois Fair Queen & Princess Pageant Trunk or Treat is open from 6 - 8 pm.
🎃 Saturday, October 17: Haunted Hayride open from 7 - 10 pm.
🎡 Conner Family Amusements, Inc. rides open both nights. (Ride tickets are a separate cost.)

Cost for admission is $5 each, and access to the Haunted Hayride is $10 each. (NOTE: Strobe lights are involved in the Haunted Hayride. No flashlights or glowsticks are allowed on the ride.) We can't wait to scare--we mean see--you there!

As we're gearing up for the opening weekend for the Haunted Hayride, we know that our youngest ghouls and goblins might not be ready for the full "Haunted School" experience. So we're bringing back our "Free Scare" for kids age 7 and under on Saturday, October 17, from 5 - 6 pm, sponsored by The Moose Lodge 420 in Pittsfield!

Come for one free ride with the sun up, the lights on and a little less mayhem. (One parent or guardian admitted.) Then let your kids stick around for the very popular Western Illinois Fair Queen & Princess Pageant Trunk or Treat, open from 6 - 8 pm!

Our normal Haunted Hayride operations will still be running from 7 - 10 pm that evening. Full details on that can be found in other posts on our page. But we're excited to welcome our youngest trick-or-treaters for our Free Scare and Trunk or Treat on October 17!

October is here, and we're gearing up for our 2026 Western Illinois Fair Haunted Hayride; Haunted School!

You have not one, or two, but THREE weekends to get in all the spooky fun. We'll be open from 7-10 pm each night on October 16-17, 23-24, and October 30.

We're also bringing back many of our favorite special events. Our popular Western Illinois Fair Queen & Princess Pageant Trunk Or Treat will be on October 17 from 6-8 pm. And we'll have a new "Touch A Truck" night on October 24 beginning at 5 pm, where kids can stop by to get up close and personal with their favorite big trucks and machinery.

Conner Family Amusements, Inc. will also back again this year with carnival rides for purchase each night.

Cost for admission is $5 each, and access to the Haunted Hayride is $10 each. (NOTE: Strobe lights are involved in the Haunted Hayride. No flashlights or glowsticks are allowed on the ride.)
