We’re just 10 days away from the 2026 Broad Street Blues & BBQ Festival!

As we count down to this year’s festival, we’ll be highlighting some of the incredible artists taking the stage in Central Park.

Today’s featured artist is Demetria Taylor - “The Bad Girl of the Blues.”

Born into the heart of Chicago’s legendary blues scene, Demetria Taylor carries forward a powerful family legacy as the daughter of blues great Eddie Taylor Sr. and vocalist Vera Taylor. Surrounded by Chicago blues icons from a young age, Demetria developed a voice and style rooted in tradition, gospel, soul, and raw emotion.

Her debut album, “Bad Girl,” earned her a Blues Music Award nomination, and her continued impact on the blues world has brought national and international recognition, including the Koko Taylor Lifetime Achievement Award from the Jus’ Blues Foundation.

Don’t miss Demetria Taylor as she brings her powerful Chicago blues sound to the Central Park stage at 7 PM on Friday, June 11th.

Only 25 days until the start of the 2026 Broad Street Blues and BBQ Festival.

One of the best parts of Blues Fest is the setting. Beautiful Central Park sits in the heart of Griffith and provides the perfect backdrop for a weekend of music, food, and community.

For the festival, the park is transformed into a one of a kind, family friendly concert venue filled with a variety of vendors, sweet and savory treats, BBQ, and beverages of all kinds that can be enjoyed throughout the park.

This spacious festival setting offers plenty of room to relax, eat, listen, and enjoy the weekend. Grab some BBQ and settle in at one of the many picnic tables, or bring your chairs and blankets and set up with your crew for a full day of live music.

Central Park also features walking paths, park benches under shaded trees, one of the Region’s biggest and best playgrounds, and plenty of free street parking throughout the area.

The Broad Street Blues & BBQ Festival is now accepting food vendors, BBQ teams, smokehouses, and specialty food concessions for our June 12–14 festival at beautiful Central Park in Griffith, Indiana.

This three-day, all-ages event draws thousands of attendees for world-class blues music, award-winning BBQ, and a vibrant community festival atmosphere. Participating BBQ vendors will also have the opportunity to compete for Best BBQ Bragging Rights in our judged competition.

You already know the Town of Griffith throws the best Blues & BBQ festivals. Now come out this Labor Day weekend for the ultimate music and street festival in Downtown Griffith—Rock’N’Rail on Broad Street.

• Dates: Thursday, August 28 – Sunday, August 31
• Location: Broad Street, Downtown Griffith, Indiana
• What to expect: Three stages of audience-favorite tribute acts, more than 40 food and craft vendors, a family-friendly Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area (DORA), and extensive beverage options from downtown restaurants and bars plus on-site food vendors, festival vendors, beer, wine, and seltzer tents across the two-block festival grounds.
