We join the jazz community in sorrow with the loss of the jazz giant Sonny Rollins at the age of 95. Sonny was a powerhouse on the instrument and inspired generations of music-making at a high level. The Mt. Hood Jazz Festival was honored to present him at our inaugural festival in 1982 and again in 1993 (pictured here). Rest in peace and power, Sonny, and thank you for the inspiration!
