Grace and Connor got married on May 2nd at Hawthorns Golf & Country Club and what a great day it was!

You know those weddings where everything just seems to flow? This was one of those days.

The weather cooperated, the vendors were fantastic, the guests were ready to celebrate, and Grace and Connor were completely focused on what mattered most: getting married.

As the Wedding Coordinator, I spent the day doing what I do best. Keeping things on schedule, making sure everyone was where they needed to be, answering questions, solving problems before they became problems, and making sure the couple could actually enjoy their wedding day.

That’s the thing about wedding coordination. If I’m doing my job right, most people never see everything happening behind the scenes.

Congratulations, Grace and Connor! Thank you for trusting me to be part of such an important day. Wishing you both a lifetime of laughter, love, and plenty of adventures together.

Wedding planning tip from someone who has seen people spend $15 on fancy napkins and then tell me they “just can’t fit a coordinator in the budget.”

Friend. Please.

If you want to afford a Wedding Coordinator without selling a kidney, here’s where to stop bleeding money:

Skip:
• Custom cocktail stir sticks nobody remembers
• 4 different wedding favors people leave behind
• Monogrammed everything
• Charger plates that cost more than actual dinner plates
• A champagne wall your guests will look at for 11 seconds
• Wedding party proposal boxes that require a payment plan

Instead:
• Keep your guest count realistic
• Do digital RSVPs
• Reuse ceremony florals at the reception
• Choose quality over quantity
• Stop adding random Pinterest things “just because”

May 16, 2026 was one of those wedding days that reminds you why having an experienced vendor team matters so much. ✨

Jovey & Cameron’s wedding at Bay Horse Inn was over a year in the making, and despite the nonstop rain, everyone stayed calm, flexible, and ready to make the day beautiful no matter what.

Then, just 10 minutes before ceremony time, the rain stopped. Chairs were dried, final touches came together, and they got the outdoor ceremony they had dreamed of. 🤍

Days like this are the perfect reminder that when vendors communicate well and work seamlessly together, everything flows better — even when the weather has other plans. 🌧️➡️☀️

Way back in ancient Rome, brides wore veils to protect themselves from evil spirits.
In arranged marriages, veils were also used to “hide” the bride before the ceremony. Yep. Really.

Over time, the veil became more symbolic.
Purity. Modesty. Tradition. Family status. Religion. Fashion.

And now?
Honestly it’s whatever YOU want it to be.
