Thanks to a generous donation, we are now just $300 away from fully funding the WKYPF High School Senior Scholarship in memory of our dear friend, Kenny Welch.

This scholarship provides a graduating senior pursuing a college percussion degree with the essential tools—sticks, mallets, stick bags, and supplies—they need to succeed from day one.

Help us cross the finish line! Read more about the scholarship and make your contribution here:

For the 2027 festival, we are looking for donations to support the West Kentucky Percussion Festival High School Senior Scholarship. This prize will be awarded to a graduating senior pursuing a music degree in college with an emphasis in percussion.

Rather than a traditional cash award, this prize package is intentionally designed to outfit the student with the exact physical tools they will need to succeed from their very first day of college. The bundle will include sticks, mallets, stick bags, gift cards, and more.

⚖️ Selection Process: The scholarship winner will be chosen through a formal application process evaluated by a panel of 11 music educators.
Details regarding eligibility requirements, deadlines, and the application process will be released shortly. Keep an eye on our page for updates!

Thank you so much for your support. Every contribution, no matter the size, brings us closer to making the 2027 festival a memorable and enriching event for all. We are deeply grateful for your generosity and support of this event.
