Here are the updated points! Our last show is 8/5/2026! Remember that you MUST attend 3 shows to be eligible for end of show awards! If you are in the top 3, I have marked how many shows you have been to. If you only have been to 2, you will need to attend the finals to be eligible.

See you Wednesday!

☀️ Hump Day Barrels Returns This Wednesday – July 15! ☀️

We know the forecast is calling for hot temperatures, and after having to cancel our last show due to the extreme heat, we're looking forward to seeing everyone back in the arena this Wednesday. We are aware temps are still high and our goal is to hold the show safely. So, we ask everyone to help by taking care of both themselves and their horses.

Please watch for signs of heat-related illness.

🐴 Signs of heat stress in horses:
• Excessive or prolonged sweating (or no sweating at all)
• Rapid breathing or elevated heart rate that doesn't recover
• Weakness, stumbling, or reluctance to move
• High body temperature
• Dehydration

👤 Signs of heat exhaustion or heat stroke in people:
• Dizziness or fainting
• Headache
• Nausea or vomiting
• Confusion
• Rapid pulse
• Hot, flushed skin or excessive sweating

Help prevent heat-related illness by:
💧 Drinking plenty of water throughout the day
🐴 Making sure your horse has constant access to fresh water
🌳 Taking breaks in the shade whenever possible
🧊 Cooling horses down after their run with water and allowing them to recover
👒 Wearing lightweight clothing, sunscreen, and a hat

We're also excited to announce that we'll have a food trailer at our final two shows of the season! Be sure to check the comments below for more information.

Thank you all for your continued support of Hump Day Barrels and our mission to raise funds for a covered arena. Your participation makes this series possible, and we truly appreciate each and every one of you.

Stay safe, stay hydrated, and we'll see you Wednesday!

After closely watching tomorrow's forecast, including temperatures that aren't expected to drop below 90°F until around 9:00 PM, and after considering everyone's feedback, I have made the difficult decision to cancel tomorrow's show.

This decision was not made lightly. The health and well-being of our horses and riders will always come first, and with the extreme heat, I believe this is the safest choice for everyone involved.

I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding.
Our next scheduled show will be July 15, and we look forward to seeing everyone then!

I will look into the possibility of a rain date, but unfortunately, I don't believe that will be possible.
Please continue to follow our page for any future updates.

Stay cool, stay safe, and we'll see you on July 15! ☀️🐴

I know many of you have seen the forecast for Wednesday, and I want you to know I'll be monitoring the temperatures closely.

If our area is placed under a Heat Advisory, would you still plan to attend, or would you prefer that I cancel? The health and safety of our horses will always be my top priority, and I also want to make sure everyone feels comfortable with whatever decision is made.

Please take a moment to vote by commenting below:
🐴 YES – We would still come.
☀️ NO – It's too hot for me and/or my horse.

Your feedback will help me make the best decision for both our riders and our horses.

Thank you for your understanding and support!
