Hunt County Expo (HCX) is a fan-built, community-driven convention rising from the legacy of the original Hunt County Comic Expo (HCCE)—the first con of its kind in the area. It started with a handful of dreamers, a rented venue, and the belief that local fandom deserves a home. And now, after years of silence, we’

re back.

This morning, we had a fantastic sit-down with representatives from the City of Greenville’s Tourism Board—and we couldn’t be more encouraged by the conversation.

While there’s no formal partnership in place just yet, what we do have is something incredibly valuable: support, interest, and momentum.

✅ They’re excited to see HCX returning.
✅ They’re offering to help connect us with local hotels, businesses, and potential sponsors.
✅ They want to amplify our message as things continue to take shape.

We’re incredibly grateful for the warm welcome and positive energy—and even more excited about what this means for the future of the Hunt County Expo.

REBOOTING THE SIGNAL: You don’t just attend a con like this. You help build it.

Once upon a time, Hunt County had something rare—
A badass little con called Hunt County Comic Expo (HCCE).

It wasn’t huge.
It wasn’t corporate.
But it was ours.
And for a couple of years, it sparked something real.

Then life happened.
🦠 COVID.
🏚️ The venue sold.
💸 Budgets got tight.
And eventually, HCCE was sold off to someone with big plans…
That never materialized.

Years passed.
Other events came and went.
But HCCE? It never really came back.

Until now.

🔥 Introducing HCX – Hunt County Expo.
This isn’t a sequel.
This isn’t a rebrand.
This is a reboot.

A full reset.
Same passion. Same roots.
Now running on fresh power, new vision, and pure community grit.
