E E Bass Cultural Arts Center The E.E. Bass Cultural Arts Center was originally built in 1916 as the first public high school in the MS Delta.

In 1929, the Junior High School was added to the building, consuming the 300 block of South Main Street and the gateway to beautiful downtown Greenville. Today, Bass is a thriving cultural arts center housing the Greenville Arts Council, Greenville Renaissance Scholars, Delta Center Stage, Footprints Christian Dance Studio, the 1901 Armitage-Herschell Carousel, Roger D. Malkin Gallery, a ceramics

studio, visual arts studio, library and the gorgeous event space, Jake & Freda Stein Hall. Our facilities offer weekday or weekend rentals for your wedding, family reunion, birthday party, baby shower or performance.
