***PMX 2023 HAS BEEN CANCELLED**

Unfortunately, we need to share that the 2023 PMX event will be cancelled. We have received feedback from the Altamont Road Safety Association (ARSA) and they are seriously concerned about the safety of its residents, the riders and visitors. Out of respect to the concerns of the residents and to keep a positive relationship with them, we have decided to cancel the PMX event and discontinue any other PMX events going forward.

As cyclists, we work hard to keep the peace and harmony with motorists and residents when cycling. As Paris Mountain is one of the most visited area for cyclists, we never intended for this event to cause frustration and concern for those living there. We want to continue to foster a strong relationship with everyone in the area when cycling. We feel that holding the PMX event will not foster the relationship that we, as cyclists, want to grow with the Altamont Club, ARSA, or our surrounding community. It is because of these concerns that we will not hold PMX 2023 or any other PMX event going forward.

If you choose to ride as a larger group this weekend, you do so on your own. There will be no official event taking place or organized by anyone on Saturday October 14th.

In retrospect, we have grown the PMX event from 17 people in year #1 to over 85 in 2022. That's a lot of riders in such a small area of 2.2 miles of road. A tremendous amount of climbing was done and a lot of smiles and memories were made. Thank you to those that have volunteered, sponsored, participated and contributed to our "little tailgate party". We will all have other opportunities to challenge each other down the road.

Thanks for everything - The Thome's

Our little ride gets its very first publication mention - not bad for just throwing something together a few years ago. Seems that social suffering is a real thing. Very cool!

How to explore on two wheels the city that’s become a beloved circuit for Tour de France finishers.
