Today, we are celebrating the graduating choir seniors in the class of 2026! All combined, they represent 80+ years of HS choir experience.

Annie, Kyra, Audrey, Elizabeth, Kiera, Emma, Ethan, Isaac, Evan, Abby, Evan, Max, Addy, Kira, Hannah, Skyler, Chloe, Simone, Micah, Blaine, Lauren, Emma, and Anna: thank you for your time and dedication to building and advancing our choral program. Senior Evan Guerreiro goes off to perform at Michigan State University with the MSVMA All-State Honors Choir tomorrow morning, so the Village Green Singers sent him off in style! Wish Evan best of luck at All-State!

MSVMA State Solo & Ensemble Festival today! GHS had 5 singers participate and they all received Division I and II ratings for their performance AND sightreading skills.

Auditions for the 2026-2027 Village Green Singers and Concert Choir are NEXT WEEK!! Any students in grades 9, 10, or 11 are welcome to audition. Sign up for your audition date outside the choir room.

Vocal Auditions: Monday, April 20 & Tuesday, April 21
Choreography (for VG): Thursday, April 23

The Village Green Singers take Chicago! They will be in Chicago for a few days taking the sites and showing off their skills in a few performances this week.

Let’s celebrate World Piano Day by recognizing our incredible HS & MS accompanists: Mrs. Rohn and Mrs. Sischo! Show them some love!

Happy World Piano Day! Started in 2015 by German pianist and composer Nils Frahm, the celebration is held on the 88th day of the year to reflect the 88 keys on a standard piano.

CONGRATULATIONS to our GHS Choirs for their fantastic performances at Choral Festival! All four choirs earned Division I ratings for their performances and sightreading skills.

So many of these students also stepped up to be festival guides for the nearly 40 visiting choirs who came to perform in our auditorium.

HUGE thanks to our student and parent volunteers for helping to make sure our festival ran smoothly. Thanks to many of our staff departments for helping make this happen including our music and P.E. teachers for letting us use their classroom spaces, our auditorium staff for setting up the auditorium and live-streaming the event, our custodial staff for making our facility look great for our guests, our food & nutrition staff for providing some delicious meals for our festival judges, and our front office, tech, and admin for communicating and problem-solving. It truly takes a village!

I am truly humbled by the school and community support for the performing arts. Thank you to everyone for your investment in ensuring our music students have the best possible experiences.
