Rules and Regulations
The rules and regulations that govern The DunAmis Gospel Awards are established by the T.L. Young Ministries Executive Committee and DunAmis Gospel Awards Committee which are comprised of representatives appointed by Bishop Terry L. Young, Founder of

T.L. Young Ministries and the DunAmis Gospel Awards. The committees in joint effort have comprised the DunAmis Gospel Awards categories. In addition committee members are members of Morningstar Baptist Church. This association has rendered executive committee members of Morningstar Baptist Church not eligible to win in any category. The rules apply only to one particular season, and are subject to change. We make them available on this site for informational purposes only. The Award Categories
The Back 2 Pentecost Conference has represented the pinnacle of excellence in local gospel music and kingdom building in the community. The Back 2 Pentecost Conference has celebrated Pastors, Community leaders, and Lifetime Achievement winners over the years. Young Ministries Executive Committee has established a number of categories and their designations to celebrate excellence. After careful consideration for the year 2014, there are 12 competitive categories of DunAmis Gospel Awards:

Pastor of the Year
First Lady of the Year
Female Pastor of the Year
Church Choir of the Year
Community Choir of the Year
Male Quartet Group of the Year
Gospel Announcer of the Year
Church of the Year
Life Time Achievement Award
Choir Director of the Year
Gospel Radio Station of the Year
Female Quartet Group of the Year

In addition the DunAmis Gospel Awards may recognize the achievements of individuals and organizations that do not fit into any of the competitive categories. Since 2003, the T.L. Young Ministries have put on the Back 2 Pentecost Conference Gala as the highlight of the five day event, however this year the event will be held at the Paramount Theater downtown Burlington on November 8, 2014 and will expand its brand of celebrating community excellence. How to Nominate the DunAmis Gospel Awards Committee has setup a 45 day cycle for nominations. During this first cycle individuals can click the link on the Morningstar Baptist Church website www.msbcburlington.com or click the link on Facebook designated link as the DunAmis Gospel Awards www.facebook.com/DunAmisGospelAwards Nominators are encouraged to nominate in every category. After the 45 day cycle is completed the voting will begin. How Voting Works
Voting by secret survey takes place in the weeks before the November awards ceremony. There will be four finalists for each category and supporters are encouraged to return and vote their choices finalist in every category. The committee’s goal is to maintain the integrity of the DunAmis Gospel Awards and is held under strict confidence to refrain from revealing the winners. Strict precautions are taken to maintain the integrity of the DunAmis Gospel Awards by omitting the members of T.L. Young, Ministries Executive Committee to participate in any category.
