Doodad Farm

Doodad Farm Doodad Farm is dedicated to connecting musicians with music lovers and building community. Here you can feel the music, not just hear it.

Doodad Farm provides a place for our community to experience art and music in a deeply personal way. It is our belief that modern society has created artificial barriers between those who create art and those who experience it, and we seek to reverse that trend. When people come to Doodad Farm for the first time, they immediately recognize that something is different, that this is no ordinary venu

e. What they’re feeling is the love that was built into this place by volunteers, who all pitched in to make Doodad Farm happen just because they believed in the idea of it. We are not here to make a profit – we’re here to help dedicated artists bring their art to people who appreciate it, and to help those artists support themselves. We never charge for admission, because we feel that everyone should have access to art, regardless of income. We do ask for donations, of which every cent always goes to the performers. Most know Doodad Farm as a concert venue, but we’re here to support community art in every way. If you need a space for a non-profit event, like music instruction, band practice, jamming, etc., just ask and we’ll try our best to provide the space and schedule you need. If you’re doing good work, then we want to support you. We’ve worked hard to build this place, and the more it can be used for the good of the community, the better. All we ask is that you leave the place the way you found it. Doodad Farm pays its bills by renting the space out for weddings, parties, reunions and retreats. Please keep us in mind as a resource for such events. We’re only one minute from I-40 and super easy to access from anywhere in central/Piedmont North Carolina. We’re always looking for support from the community we serve. If you would like to volunteer to help with an event, or participate in one of our work days, please contact us. We often have use for building materials and landscaping materials, too. Sorry, but because we have relatively few shows a year, we can't respond to every solicitation for booking. We generally approach bands ourselves and offer them shows here. This Thursday, June 25, we’re calling all songwriters to join us at 7pm for our monthly songwriters’ circle. Heck, even if you’re not a songwriter, you’re welcome to join us, listen, and support those who share their original songs.

Weather permitting, we’ll be outside somewhere near our stage. Otherwise we’ll be in the house. You’re welcome to bring any beverages or snacks that you like. No need to reserve a spot; just show up at 4701 Land Road, Greensboro.

We hope to see you here!

Since Doodad Farm happens to be smack dab in the middle of an especially diverse and supportive music community, finding creative and talented bands to play at a fundraising tribute is as simple as reaching out and asking for help. Our goal for this annual event is always the same: show the audience a good time while having a good time ourselves, and raise as much funds for our sponsored organizations without corporate involvement.

This video shows many of the artists who will take our stage this Sunday, but not all of them. Some have yet to be revealed, because they're part of a band and not listed separately. Some, like Sam Frazier, are perennial musicians at our tributes, while others are making their first appearance. Part of the fun is watching the musicians connect with each other, so in way we're helping to build the music community.

So please come out, enjoy a beautiful day of music, fun, and just plain silliness, and support the good work of the Arc of High Point.
