Many people don’t know the who, what, when, where, or why behind this movement—and that’s okay with us.
We didn’t start this for recognition.
We started it for the people.
Six years later, the mission remains the same: to create space for our community to gather, celebrate, educate, and honor the legacy of those who came before us.
The vision hasn’t changed.
The work hasn’t stopped.
The dream is still alive.
There have been obstacles, growing pains, victories, lessons, and moments that reminded us exactly why this work matters. Through it all, we’ve stayed committed to the community we serve.
Some stories don’t need defending.
Some legacies don’t need explaining.
