Proudly presented by John and Yoyo McEntee, Carolina Chainsaw Massacre Fest is a two-day horror & metal fest that will take place in Winston-Salem & Greensboro, North Carolina on June 3 rd & 4 th 2022. As the front man of American Death Metal legend Incantation and founder of Ibex Moon Records, of course John McEntee came up with the idea of having a very metal wedding in the form o
f a mini fest to celebrate the big day with closest friends and family members. But that wasn’t even special enough. When John and Yoyo went on a road trip and visited The Gas Station in Bastrop, Texas – the original filming location of the 1974 Texas Chainsaw Massacre, the missing pieces all fell together. They realized that a Texas Chainsaw Massacre themed wedding was very much needed because nothing else could make more sense. Without much ado, the wedding took place on June 12,
2021 in Bastrop at The Gas Station. On that special day, the wedding ceremony was officiated by the legendary Mr. Bill Johnson – Leatherface himself (TCM2); and Mr. Allen Danziger -- Jerry from the original TCM, also honored the couple by attending the wedding as their special guest. Both of the horror icons did a meet and greet at the wedding, made it a forever unforgettable celebration for the newlyweds and their guests. The wedding ceremony was followed by a face-melting metal concert,
played by the couple’s loving friends: Ascended Dead/False Prophet/Flesh Hoarder/Morbosidad; and they wrapped up this brutally wonderful day with an outdoor TCM movie screening. It was a total blast; everyone had a great time from this exceptional experience. With the help from both the horror and metal community, the wedding turned out to be an extremely fun and one-of-a-kind event, a mini horror con & mini metal fest hybrid at its finest. Even to this day, the wedding is still being talked about across the country. As too many people have been asking about it, John and Yoyo
asked each other: “How about let’s do this again, but at home, a real fest, for more people?”
