Friends! This is the beautiful artwork that you’ll start to see around Greensboro, created by the fantastic Brooklyn based designer . Our goal is to get it into bars, venues, tour vans, and more, along with Narcan, so our community is more prepared to assist when someone experiences an overdose.
This year, is dedicating the annual Super Yamba & Friends Holiday show to Scott, who played a huge role in the event over the past few years. All of the funds raised from the show will go to to support this new signage campaign and other initiatives, all in Scott’s memory. We love you Scott and we miss you so much.
We didn’t prepare for a new Covid variant when we kicked this plan off, so we did want to say that if you don’t feel comfortable attending in person, we totally understand. We will go live from this account during the event so you can see some of the music. You can still contribute to the cause via Venmo () and Cash App ($gcstop).
For those who would still like to come, please practice the Covid smart behavior we’ve all learned all to well these past years—do not come if you’re ill, take rapid tests if you think you’ve been exposed, wear a mask, and don’t get really close to people and spew particles into their faces. 😷
Thank you to the musicians who are making this possible: .sheff and more.
Thanks to for DJing and setting this up! Thanks to for hosting—they will have mocktails on the menu for anyone who doesn’t drink.
Thanks to Scott’s family for being supportive of our efforts. Please send them lots of love this holiday season!
Thanks to for the Harm Reduction artwork and for the show poster!
Fentanyl overdose deaths are now the leading cause of death for young people in America. Let’s all do what we can to change that. Supporting orgs like is one way you can make a difference.
Reach out to folks who need to hear from you & to the loved ones of people who have lost their friends and family.
Stay safe out there, friends! We love you!
