Just playing on the recent controversy over the ad Nike put up on Newbury Street ahead of the Boston Marathon. The original said "Runners Welcome. Walkers Tolerated".

Maybe you didn't get into our marathon, but there's still a way into the Chicago Marathon (guaranteed entry for wheelers or runners, no matter what your skill level)! Registration for the Bank of America Chicago Marathon closes on March 31, 2026 and our partner U2FP (Unite 2 Fight Paralysis) still has spots available for wheelers and runners.

Help us fuel the SCI-led movement for functional recovery by spreading the word about Team U2FP and helping them hit their fundraising goals, all while you check off another item on your bucket list. Register now for the Bank of America Chicago Marathon: https://register.hakuapp.com/?event=da09463653ddb8eeea57&promoter_name=unite-2-fight-paralysis-7®istration_type=application&pro=26308

So if you - or someone you know (!) - wants to race in a world class marathon - join Team U2FP for the Bank of America Chicago Marathon. We’ll connect you with your other Team U2FP participants via semi-regular virtual happy hours, provide you with a fundraising guide, t-shirt and lots of support - plus we’ll refund your registration fee after the race! You’ll be supporting our Cure Advocacy Network’s efforts to increase legislative funding for SCI research.

No plastics at our race! The cups we use are compostable. Did you ever wonder what happens to the cups, watermelon rinds, banana peels and other compostables after we're done? They are picked up by the Compost Co-op, a local worker-owned business that turns our waste into rich soil for our plants 🪱🌱

This old bridge, built in 1870 and the timber crib dam, built of log and stone in 1810. We love our nature and we love our history too! Going through that bridge is one of the highlights of our race.
